Re: Universal : Riding Gear Thread
The only boot that can save you from water is general purpose gum boots. What ever else is available in the market is just water resistant not water proof. I have a forclaz 500 and that also gets wet after like 1 hr of riding in heavy rain.Originally posted by hypheni View PostCheerio!

That is really helpful. ThanksOriginally posted by Astrix View PostFrom what I understand after seeing/using the Tornado Pro, it comes with a CE certified back armour by default.
I cross-checked, Rynox mentions the same even on their website- Home page
----consecutive posts auto-merged-----
Level 1 armour are good enough, even a 24k Revit Darcha Jacket comes with a level 1 armour. Though I do not deny thay they are not better than level 1. But that is not the only criteria.
Type A or Type B
Infact it is not about the level of armour always. The Sastec armours level 2 are Type A while the Knox armours Level 1 but are Type B.
Type A means lesser coverage area than Type B thus more of your impact area is exposed incase of a fall or slide.
Outer Shell
Further to add, it goes beyond armours, the outer shell of the jacket is the first point of contact with the surface in case of a fall and thus it needs to have high abrassion resistance.
Again brands like Revit, A-star use special fabrics like 'Super Fabric" or leather at impact zones.
Similarly Tornado Pro has Du Pont Cordura at Impact zones which has higher abrasion resistance than Nylon.
While most of the jacket have basic 600-750D polyester which has lower abrassion resistant than Nylon.
So when you are in the process of chosing a product basis its protection, include these parameters also.
Level
Type
Outer Layer
Also you should ponder upon this that the same armours now used in the Solace retailed at 7k+ were once offered by Mototech at 4k. So if providing Level 2 was the only criteria to add to the protection why could not all brands just opt for Sastec level 2 over Knox Level 1.
Hope this helped.

Re: Universal : Riding Gear Thread
Yes that problem is there if you shift up by placing your tow under the lever , but there are sports lever in most bikes now a days. You should buy it from a local retailer not online. Try it out before buying.Originally posted by hypheni View PostTrue. Was checking the price. It's pretty low. What is the material used in this product. I was wondering if it is going to stuck somewhere during gear shift or brake apply.Originally posted by HotAntivirus View PostI had placed an order for the one's available on ebay, Just received them, the quality is decent, there is a sole attached with it and fits my riding boots easily. Re: Universal : Riding Gear Thread
When I searched products in Amazon or Flipkart or Snapdeal I got a common seller jazzmyride, so I just searched in Google and find out the seller has its own site and the price are lower than the other merchandise apps.
I got this one http://www.jazzmyride.com/riding-gea...or-black-40552 with COD. Nice jacket for safety and style..

Just wanted to check if you are able to put the bike on paddock stand without any help? I mean are you able to do it yourself or you ask somebody to hold the bike while you jack up the paddock stand.Originally posted by Chandan92 View PostI am using that paddock stand from GA engineering for 1.5 years, I have a universal non spool one, earlier I was using for duke 390 and R15 V2.0 currently using same stand for my R3 and quality is good. The material is Nylon I guess, its decently thick and there is a sole with anti skid material on bottom. Doesnt really bother me while shifting gears or brakes.Patience is something you admire in the driver behind you and scorn in the one ahead.
