I have Zeus Airdrift SP-X which I purchased from Amazon for 9k INR.
The jacket is built very well with ample amount of armour around the elbow, shoulders, back, and collar joint (this one is actually steel protected iirc).
The jacket is good from several aspects, however I couldn't find a way to take out the armours from it. Looks like it has non removable armours.
If you're in Delhi, do look at the PGS jackets too. They are very well built.
Thanks bro. Jacket looks promising, how is the fit and finish of the jacket.
The thing which I doubt is size as my size fall between M and L and what I really doubt is size as most of the apprearl which I bought online doesn't fit me properly. I am from Bangalore and I want to try any of there jacket first then only I can order. Will look for the dealer here.
Anyone who bought biking brotherhood jackets?

I am setting out to buy my first pair of riding gloves. My requirements are:-

      1. Full leather construction
      2. Good knuckle protection.
      3. Extra protection/reinforcement for little (pinky) finger.
      4. Short cuff.

      Budget is ~5-6k.

Please suggest me the specific model names which would satisfy these requirements.

I know Aspida, TBG, Solace & Rynox are probably the brands that would come within this budget but terribly confused with the model names.

Also, how much would a Alpinestar glove cost me which meets the above requirements?

I would suggest you to get full gauntlet gloves. At budget 5-6k you will get good full gauntlet gloves. Have a look at new Rynox gloves. For alpinestars full gauntlet gloves you can get sp8 gloves which costs 7k.

Full gauntlet gloves give more protection and give you a safer ride.
Anyways, for your requirements, there are good a* gloves that are around 5-7k

1)Alpinestars SMX-1 air gloves-Haven't tried them on. But they have good reviews, atleast better than SMX-2 ones. Rs. 4999/-
2)Alpinestars Mustang Gloves-I have tried them out. They are really strong and durable. Gives you good confidence while wearing them.
            Rs. 5999/-
3)Alpinestars SP-8 gloves - I have been using them for a while now and they are great. They are bang for the buck while giving all necessary protection for Rs. 7000/- (full gauntlet)

I personally prefer A* or Dainese always, though there are other gloves that provide good protection and are VFM:

            1) Aspida Ares (full gauntlet)
            2) Aspida Centaur (semi gauntlet)
            3) Aspida Pegasus (short cuff)
            4) TBG Sport Gloves ( Real good. Have used them earlier for a short period. Full gauntlet)
            5) TBG Street (short cuff. Check xbhp thread on ownership review of tbg adv breed jacket + tbg street gloves)
            6) Rynox Inferno (semi gauntlet. Again, check xbhp reviews on this one.)

Try out the gloves before you buy 'em.
            Ride safe.
            Cheers.

Just a query, how's the protection in these Alpinestar/Dainese cheap gloves compared to the flagship Rynox, Aspida and TBG gloves? All these Indian brands cost a fraction of the imported ones.

PS: Neither I have a bike, nor I have used any gloves (noob).

I'm replying w.r.t to the gloves I have used i.e. TBG sport gloves and Alpinestars SP-8

To begin with, I was never ok with buying TBG or any Indian brand because I give utmost importance to protection considering a limited budget. And since I had bought a camera I didn't have enough money for the gloves.
I had to pick between Aspida, DSG or TBG. Since TBG had better reviews, I went to their store in Bangalore and tried them on. They fit pretty good and comfortable. Carbon fibre protection for knuckles and Knox SPS protection and many other features at an affordable price.
After a few months, when I had saved up for my gloves (Yes I'm not working yet and it took me few months to save 7k&#128539 I wanted to get an alpinestars glove. I went up to Orion motors, Bangalore. Tried a few. I loved the Alpinestars Celer gloves and Alpinestars SP-8. But Celer gloves are short cuff ones. So, I decided to go for SP-8. Since these are entry level gloves from these "premium" manufacturers, the protection is considerably less. The leather quality was definitely better, the stitchings too. But, it only has a polymer knuckle protector and foam protection on wrist, palm, etc. This is where the Indian glovemakers score. They get the materials at a low cost and make them at a low cost and sell them at a low cost compared to A* or Dainese. The "premium" manufacturers have all these features too but the price rises beyond our budget 😓

                Hope this answers your query.
                Pardon the garrulous reply.!

Thank You for summarizing it for me. This helps a lot. I will take a look at all of them (except full gauntlet) and buy.

I prefer short cuff gloves. I know even for city rides full gauntlet is needed but just cant bring myself around to wearing one.
