Hello guys,

Need some help deciding riding gear. Going to buy the Apache RR 310 in a few weeks. Planning to purchase riding gear for around 20-25k. Am planning to get everything except boots and pants for now so Helmets, Gloves, Jacket, and protectors. Pants and shoes maybe after 3-4 months. I already talked to a few forum members and they had given a few suggestions. This is the set of gear I've narrowed on and would like to get your opinion.

Helmet:
Budget 5-8k
So looking at Mt Revenge or Axxis or Thunder 3. Haven't narrowed down to anyone. Would do so after trying in person.
Note: I wear specs so if there is any helmet which would better suit me do recommend them.

Jacket:
Budget 10k?
After a lot of reading seems these 2 are a decent option for me.
1. TBG Knight Jacket
2. Solace Defender Plus

I'm mainly going to be riding around Thanjavur region. There the climate is hot and with occasional rains. So do not need any thermal protection (no winter). I would like a jacket which wouldn't fry me in the summer and offers good protection. Would like to get something waterproof or a waterproof layer in addition so that in the case when I go touring wouldn't have a heavy soaked jacket. Any other options i should look at?

Gloves:
Budget 3-4k
I have looked at the following but haven't narrowed down yet.
1. Rynox Apex Evo
2. DSG primal
3. Solace Race Pro
4. TBG Sport Gloves

Again no need for any cold protection. As long as I don't sweat heavily with the gloves I'm fine with it. Waterproofing would be a good added bonus.

Protectors:
Budget 3-4k
1. Cramster- Drifter Pro
Need other good alternatives.

A good mobile holder?

This is my first decent motorcycle(had a tvs star sport previously) so want to start off with proper gear. My budget is flexible. In case if I need to go a bit higher in the budget for a more vfm product or better safety please mention that and I'll try to extend my budget a bit more. I wouldn't be doing track days any soon so no concerns there. The bike would mostly be used for city riding and weekly highway rides(to Bangalore). Will be purchasing the gear after trying them in a store in Bangalore. Open to buying online as well.

This has been a very long post. Sorry but didn't want to miss any details. Any and all help would be appreciated.

Helmet - Pick the Revenge or Thunder 3. Great choice !

Jacket - Both are great ! Pick any, you won't be disappointed. Also look at new launches from some other brands. I will recommend you one in a few days if you can wait.

Gloves - Buy Solace Bravo, if you are spending as much as TBG/solace racepro/ rynox, spend a bit more and get Shima gloves instead. Waterproofing available. Check motoignite.com

Knee guard - Get the BBG knee guards that look same as cramster, it's the same thing, but cheaper.

From the ones you have shortlisted here is what I would recommend

Helmet: You can go for the MT Revenge
Jacket: TBG Knight (Since its a Mesh jacket and you very specifically mentioned that you don't want to be fried in summer). You can also check the Rynox Storm in that price, given that you get Level 2 Knox protectors, Chest pads (upgradable) and also a metal external slider (though I am not a big fan of these external sliders). You can try both
Gloves: Rynox Apex (Given the Knox SPS which is a part and it's also less expensive than the TBG gloves)
Knee-Guards: You can check these new ones by Scoyco (Not the fake ones, the official importer has really good ones at around 4k. The mold is similar to the leatt knee guards. The quality seemed quite good.)
Mobile Holder: Go for RAM mounts only!

can anyone suggest better riding gloves under 1k??

Would recommend you to increase your budget a bit and go with Cramster Flux (They are leather gloves and will provide good abrasion resistance). Under 1k, it will be difficult to get really protective gloves.

Helmet seems a good choice then. Have to try both and see which one fits my head with glasses on. In case if both aren't fitting any suggestion for a model that would fit decently with my spectacles on?

Look at Zeus Plasma helmets or basically Zeus helmets. They are good too !
I am myself waiting to pick a jacket and will provide you basic review of how it is, don't worry about that.
Shima is really nice with quality and what they do. So yes all of them are good, just don't pick a glove model with Tour name behind it, it will be a hot touring glove. You can contact them over instagram @shimaindia.
Mobile holders, I would pick RAM since there have been multiple cases of other holders failing at times. You can check treknride.com for some holders, but remember they are closed ones and the smartphone does tend to heat up.

You do not need to wear elbow guards with a riding jacket.

I am soon getting my bike and looking forward to buying some basic biking gear...

1. Helmet: Preferably around 2k but can stretch upto 3k. So far i am considering Studds Shifter and Steelbird SBA-1

2. Gloves: Around 1k

3. Bike Mount: Under 1k, don't need one with a charger as of now

Please recommend decent biking gear..
