You will have to carry it unfortunately in case of Bionic ones.Originally posted by SultanUM View Post

Yes, as of now I am carrying these Cramster Bionic ones around (which looks silly). I was wondering if they'd fit inside a drawstring backpack.Originally posted by Astrix View PostYou will have to carry it unfortunately in case of Bionic ones.

Exactly, away from technical jargon, motorcycling is about the rider to machine connect.Originally posted by hamadryad View PostI'm just tired of seeing the same argument over and over again.
6-7 years ago, we were all riding our bikes without knee guards, jackets and gloves.
Now we have options to choose from and suddenly everyone is an expert because they read an article on the internet.
Understand something, the whole point of riding is to disconnect. Different brands work for different people, deal with it. These minor technical differences between different armours hardly matter as motorcycling has always been about the feel rather than the technical jargon.
The whole hoopla about 'I know more about this stuff than you' might make you a better salesman but not a better biker.
At the end of the day, your riding skills matter more than your gear. I've never had an accident ever since I started riding back in '05.
Be constructive, nobody is going to respect you because you can quote data from the internet. Also, stop spamming this thread with useless info for god's sake.
Different things work for different people. I always wrote my 'preference', this is why.
I won't spam this thread with technical jargon from now on. Done !
Xbhpian since 2012. Riding since a long time too. I never wanted to make it a sales thread. Back to basics.

Re: Universal : Riding Gear Thread
Thank for proving my point when you said that your lp1 does not have t+ and T- (since they dont feel its important). Now they have T+ and T-, so goes to prove its importance of T+ and T-Originally posted by MidnightEvil Parth View PostI never said there is anything to worry, I never said it's a total failure.
Scroll up and read all the posts again, I said it's not as good as Knox or D3o, same as you said. Thanks for supporting my point.
Also, I said I won't recommend spending that hefty amount on a jacket with XY at back. 'I won't recommend', doesn't mean I never recommended.
Get some grip boy. Don't unlink things.
Read boy read, I never said 'it doesn't have a website so it's bad', I said 'I couldn't find it'.
I would rather not spend that heafty amount to get SASTEC for limbs as the do not pass CE test T+ and T- and I have better options like Knox Microlock in the same price.
Rather pay for Knox at Limbs and XY at Back and Metals Slider and Chest pads (Upgradable).
So a good reason for me to recommend Rynox (besides using it since 3 years so its muhcfrom my experience with the brand)
But buddy lets make it a point to keep our jargons away and this debate away from this forum and let people buy whatever they want. Basically lets not bash a brand. I have never written anything wrong for any brand be it Rynox or wheoverLast edited by Astrix; 05-23-2018, 06:49 PM.

Re: Universal : Riding Gear Thread
To each his own, I will recommend any of those depending on rider preference (Knox/Sastec/D3o etc, not XY/Safetech until absolutely budget conscience is there). But will pick Sastec for myself due to the impeccable results in impact tests.
Sastec chest protectors are superb !
About recommending a brand, brand loyalty is not my cup of tea. I recommend from Scala to Rynox, from Raida to Solace, from RE to Shima, from Macna to Dainese, I know my work there.
No nitpicking, in the end, it's just a flimsy mesh jacket. Abrasion resistance is not the quality of a mesh jacket.Last edited by MidnightEvil Parth; 05-23-2018, 06:52 PM.

So my recommendations are different than yours, So let's agree to disagree.
Besides XY is used by Royal Enfield also in their Jackets.
For me Sastec are nowhere close to Knox due its non-certification in certain CE test and I go only by test results and lab reports and some basic experiment done by me too. No room for personal assumption or some "gear expert's" advice to promote the brand that pays them.
So end of discussion.

So I guess that’s the close of that discussion then. Time to get out the coffee (or beers, as per personal preferences), put on some motorcycle movies & find common ground in our passion for riding. Cheers!- When Life throws you a curve, Lean into it! -

Re: Universal : Riding Gear Thread
I have a defender pro jacket which is good but it was impossible to use it in this summer so went ahead to pick up a Mesh jacket.Originally posted by rideon74 View PostHas anyone here picked up the new Rynox Storm EVO L2 Jacket? Wondering if the mesh areas are enough for summer usage and any other pros & cons before going in for it.

Bought the Rynox Storm jacket (Wanted to stay away from Solace due to its Fake Back protector claim which got exposed).
Have been using it for some time now (but almost daily)
Pros: 1) Looks good and different
2) Very comfortable.
3) Great protectors- Both Knox at Limbs and the One at the back. All The protectors are Level 2
4) Removable Chest Protectors (upgradable to CE)
5) Shoulder slider though not sure how much these sliders help. Have seen this in many jackets these days. Seems like a fad.
6) Material and Build Quality, craftsmanship is very neat. No stitches dangling and pealing of threads (Comparing it to my older Solace Jacket)
Cons: 1) Less Reflective material at the back
2) Internal Pocket is not waterproof
3) The thermal liner cannot be worn separately (My previous jacket had this feature)
All in all a good product.
But for a mesh jacket at that price point it a justified choice, given the options that are currently available.
I am happy with my purchase of the Rynox Jacket, the ventilation especially is awesome.

You must have taken the Aspida Nemesis 2 into consideration, what made you choose the Rynox over Aspida?Originally posted by ktmcrazy9596 View PostI have a defender pro jacket which is good but it was impossible to use it in this summer so went ahead to pick up a Mesh jacket.

Re: Universal : Riding Gear Thread
Again arguing about t+ t- , coming to sastec and knox i would always prefer a sastec over knox because of the comfort that sastec provides and would always would go for a fully textile one because i can afford sweat but not blood.
Guys you need to chill see everyone has there own preferences like in my case for textile.
Some other people may prefer mesh see personal preference here too.
So we need to chill and just provide the choices which a person may have in his budget and all the pros and cons of that particular thing, that will make this a better place and forum rather than arguing each and everytime.

You have a point here , i am sorry to say but seems fishy.Originally posted by MidnightEvil Parth View PostCrazy really, once you were borrowing gears. Then you had Aspida Icarus in March this year, then you got a Tornado pro, then you got a defender plus, then now you have a Storm evo.
Must be a rich man !
I would have spent that on a better leather jacket.

Lol. The trick is you sell them on OLX.Originally posted by MidnightEvil Parth View PostCrazy really, once you were borrowing gears. Then you had Aspida Icarus in March this year, then you got a Tornado pro, then you got a defender plus, then now you have a Storm evo.

Though I still hold on to the Defender and Storm.
----consecutive posts auto-merged-----
Basically, the internal thermal liner cannot be worn as a separate jacket in Storm. The Defender Jacket has this feature.Originally posted by rideon74 View PostThanks for the inputs. But could you clarify your point #3? I didn’t quite get that one.
