Considering the extra cost, don't you think STORM EVO L2 is better choice as a jacket, especially it comes with Back Protection??
I feel Tornado Pro is a very well rounded choice. Storm is nice but those metal sliders, something I am not fond of.
But again, if you find them good, you can get the Storm Evo.

These are a pair of riding jeans I picked up on a sale at www.caferaacer.co.in. Me and my wife has been using these for a month..They are pretty comfortable. If you write to them they do cusotm fit also , as I had to do it for my wife. Currently the sale is on and you can pick up a pair at just Rs. 2700.

Though I am not sure how good the knee protectors are , probably will get a better brand.

                  Hello everyone,

I'm looking for mid height adv-touring boots.

I'm from Pune. I own Hero Impulse and I do off-roading frequently. So normal touring boots like Alpinestar Roam wont be a good option here.

                  below are my picks.

                  Alpinestar Belize

                  Forma adventure low boots

                  TCX baja mid

Is there any shop here in Pune where I can check these out? my size is 11 - 11.5

I tried out local Mototech, RYO and similar brands in size 12 but none is fitting. they all are too small for my feet to get inside.

So thinking of international brands like these.

Please let me know if there is any store in Pune or Mumbai who stocks these and can get better deal here locally instead of buying online from Revzilla.com FC-moto.de or motarddin.com

                  Thanks in advance.

I would recommend stores like Lazy Ass bikers and Team Driven.

                      Hey Parth,

Actually my budget is not much. I can invest 15-16k as of now. And these boots are available at that price on the international websites I mentioned.

Here Astar belize costs whopping 21000 INR at PlanetDSG.com but that includes custom duties and everything. So is there any possibility to order them here from any store or retailer at same price as they are available on Int. stores?

I mean as far as the product is original, it's okay if i don't get any bill or warranty.

Teamdriven website is under maintenance so have to visit there store in Pune.

I found one on L.A.B. webisite,

Exustar enduro/adventure touring boots priced at 10k
                      gaerne G-adventure aquatech boots - 16k

so far havent found any reviews on youtube for Exustar.

                      Any comment on these 2?

                        Hello.
Exustar is good but yes Gaerne is way better.
Also, do visit the store and talk to them. You can carry reference of xbhp and my own if it helps in any way for the pricing.

                        Goodluck.

Friend just got a DSG evo pro jacket. What in the world is this ? Piece of plastic sewn to a small cloth patch ? There is no foam padding backing it unlike what I have seen on such dated 1990s protectors from old jackets.

He feels cheated and might be returning the jacket / getting new armours. He got this jacket on the recommendation of some Instagram influencer and the looks of the jacket.

                            Those are CE certified protectors.
Though it looks plastic but does the job well.

DSG is well known brand and they won't cheat for their top of the line jacket AFAIK.

Many jackets today gets level 2 armour.

                            This seems level 1.
You can upgrade to level 2 later if needed.

Unless you're using it on track they are too to use.

I have DSG nero jacket with level 1 Armors and no back protector. So far clocked 50k kms on then including off-road crashes and nothing happened to it.

I don't think it will be able to absorb an impact looking at no foam padding underneath it. These type of protectors are used in el cheapo jackets and jackets from the 1980s, and a jacket costing 7-8k should not have such protectors in 2018, my humble opinion.

These look like those cheap amazon dirt protection vests that cost 1000 INR.

About nothing happening to it, my friend rides in a cheap 1500₹ vest and crashed, nothing happened to him either.

But I am talking about that rare crash when you really need to have protection, how would these absorb any impact ? Certainly curious.

                              Thanks for the reply.
