thor core S6 motocross pants
so finally brought a pants from Dennis kirk. the discount was massive. core s6 retails for close to $150 and i got it for $18 on discount.booked it through ICC WORLD. initially there was some hiccups coz of miscommunication but when i brought to their notice it was promptly corrected. the pants was purchased on 14th and by 21st ie today its in my hand.
i paid a total of 1945 including shipping duties and commission of ICC WOrld.
Must say Iam really impressed with the pants.the material is great, lot of ventilation holes which are covered with very fine mesh to keep dirt away. stitching is far superior than anything i have seen on riding gears sold in India. inner mesh lining protectors and TPR logos for protection are of very high quality.the cordura are the thickest i have seen and the elastic panels are the best i have seen.the inner leg has leather yes !! heat resistant leather and that too of the finest quality. there is nothing in the pants that looks cheap.
protectors are awesome and so is the inner liner.
thumbs up to ICC WORLD for very fast shipping and at a very reasonable rate. here are a few pics of the pants .a detailed report will follow soon.
someday i wish to see a made in India tag here

I was curious to know more about the motorcycle apparel made by BMW ever since I watched the 'Long way down' in which Charlie and Ewan were shod with BMW apparel. My expectation was that since BMW makes bikes which are functional first and good looking later, the same philosophy would translate into BMW apparel. And I was not disappointed.
I bought a BMW pro-rain 3 single piece rainsuit yesterday, and boy, does it stink of quality and tech. Being in the industry, I can tell a good garment from a bad one, and BMW is pretty much up there. Be it the materials, construction and fit, perfect.
I also got a pair of BMW waterproof gloves with a Goretex lining which prevents water from coming in and at the same time, minimizes sweat! And it is so comfortable that it makes my Astar gloves feel like its made out of cardboard.
These guys have my business for all my future gear needs, including boots! Their leather waterproof boot costs same as an Astar boot but is made in Italy instead of China!
More words and pictures later! I copied these images below from a website:

Looks really good! Where did you pick it up from? And if you don't mind me asking, how much?
Would have looked even better on a S1000RR though!
Still, you're at least on the way!

A very good and safe biker not only because he can pop up either of the wheels, scrape his knees on a corner or go fast and make it look stylish but because he very well knows his limits and capabilities and has the patience to learn about others and ride safe ! :)

Ridersdiscount is a great website with prompt deliveries (in the US) and reliable service. The reason for 45 days is the shipment comes through sea - you can choose fedex air, but expect to pay $100 and upwards depending the website.Originally posted by NANOtechnology View Post@ shrinathrao

I bought helmet and boots from ridersdiscount, but got it shipped to an address in the United states from where I picked it up.
Thanks! I bought these from BMW of Manhattan - I am chilling in NYC these days. I paid $129 for the suit and $119 for the gloves. I think them to be very reasonable prices for quality gear. To give you a perspective, only a single layer waterproof jacket would end up costing $150 or more from brands like Columbia or North Face.Originally posted by Sunnyside_up! I don't think I will end up buying something like the S1000RR - I am more of a k1300 or a F800 guy!

Guys... I think this is the matter which we've discussed earlier... But there are some doubts again... I Have a DSG Nero of Size M. I think it's a bit loose for me by time. The shoulder armors are not in place i think so. There wasn't the size S to try it out. So i bought it. I think the size is calculated by measuring the width of our Shoulder...Right? not the chest.. I am using the shirt size of 39 which is pretty good on me. not loose not so tight. It is the perfect fit. The problem is how can one be so sure about which we are going to get from the online purchases abroad. The jacets should be Perfect fit. unless there is no use, Right??
Throw some light on this..If you need a reason to ride, you are not on the right bike.

Yeah right ... there is always a slight risk while ordering online. But they have return policy too in case you get a wrong size.Originally posted by ezy_rider View PostGuys... Albeit every website from which you can order have their own SIZE CHART which you need to follow . Its very rare that you get a wrong size IF you followed the size chart correctly.
Jacket size depends on your Chest size as well as sleeves size.
Mainly you need to be specific with your chest size because that matters a lot on your overall jacket's size.2003 - 2009 : Pulsar 150 Classic (Sold)

why is shipping so expensive for India..
its cheaper from US to UK though..
but we have to pay a lot from US to India...
motorcycle superstore has great products with unbelievable discounts...
I have a person who is supposed to come from US, but its not confirmed.
i want some gear, is anyone coming from US ??
besides if not India, then does motorcycle superstore ship to UK ??
there are no details on the website about the same..
maybe expecting a SHOEI on closeout is too much to ask, but i really wanted a Toni Elias replica from 2008Originally posted by smoker n doper View Postthanks man ...

..
its Damm expensive, specially for me as i am still a student...
i saw the knee guards...
they are pretty good...
the whole problem for me is shipping, if it can be shipped to UK instead at a nominal price then i can order it as my brother stays in UK, he keeps on visiting frequently...
somehow i feel that rider's discount is expensive than motorcycle superstore, so i don't feel like ordering from there...
any comments about my post on Helmet thread ?Giving a lot to a fiero.
Expecting a lot from a fiero.
