My cousin got his riding gears from London. He told me that the store person gave him smaller size than the one he wanted, educating my cousin in the process how riding gears should fit. We tend to see size in term of other ordinary jackets we would normally purchase. To begin with, Jackets has to fit snugly and hold the armour in place firmly and they should have some sort of mechanism to make finer adjustment. otherwise it will fail to serve its purpose.

+1 .this is exactly what I have been trying to tell here. never buy loose fitting jackets , the jackets should be snug enough in fit to keep the armours in place.otherwise it will serve no purpose. and in fact the most of the Indian sellers give you wrong advices on riding gear size selection. riding without securing the adjustment straps or keeping the zippers unzipped are definitely recepies for disasters. its almost like wearing a helmet without securing the strap.

I mostly will order from Riders Discount since the top rated sellers (for these boots in my size) dont ship to India.

If anyone from bangalore needs anything from riders discount, please let me know so I can order it as well. We can share the shipping cost. The shipping cost is a flat 25 USD charge for all orders. (we can club the orders together to save shipping costs).

I use the same and this is my first Full-armor riding jacket. Its quite heavy (and I dont know if the others are lighter) but its good. I havnt detached the inner lining yet and still its quite airy while on the move.

Any idea what will be the price for the below boots, if we order from the same website? Would like to figure out what I will end up spending, including shipping.

I haven't factored in the duty part yet. Spoke to a close friend yesterday who frequently orders stuff for his CBR 1000 RR and the duty might be in the range of 10%-20% for riding gear. We'll know the exact duty charged once the stuff arrives. Some websites/companies dont mark the bills/packaging as gifts (some on eBay do but the shipping costs are ~ 40-50 USD per item). Will check if this is possible from Riders Disc.

I am interested in the knee+elbow guards. But the above one which you have posted about are not bionic guards. Are you sure you dont need bionic guards? I havent yet decided to order these. Lets see.

I will check if the 25USD shipping charge applies to all the products which we order. Your stuff + my boots + harshit's guards. Most probably it'll be a flat 25 USD shipping charge for all the stuff, but will confirm. Most likely we will be charged duty and this we can sort it out between us later.

So please let me know if you all are OK with this and confirm your orders. I will PM my account number once i get your confirmation on the order (hopefully by tomorrow) so you can transfer the money. I shall order it and once it arrives we can sort out the duty (if appl.) and you all can collect the stuff. Sounds good?

                              • Joe Rocket Moto - Air Gloves - Review

Just some observations on the JR Moto-Air Gloves.

I bought these for 5500/- from Performance Racing. You can check sizing here - Motorcycle Superstore 2010

I ordered them in size L and were delivered as usual within 24 hours from order.

Initially I found them to be tight, and was afraid that I had ordered the wrong size but within a few minutes, they eased out and by the end of the first day I found them very comfy.

                                First the +'s

                                - Very well made - 99% leather construction. A high quality product.
                                - Stylish low cuff street gloves. Even the carbon -fibre knuckle protection doesn't look too garish because they are partly covered by the air-vents.
                                - Pre-curved finger construction make them very comfortable.
                                - Additional padding in critical areas.

                                The -'s

                                - All leather construction make them slightly warm to wear in the city. I'm not very convinced about the air-vent system and feel that they are more aesthetic than functional.
                                - These gloves are NOT waterproof.

I had occasion to test the gloves' protection and survivability within a few days of getting them - suffered a pretty nasty lowside and landed hard. Luckily for me I was wearing ALL my gear and as expected my hands made contact with the road - but the gloves worked beautifully. They did not split at the seams, did not tear and protected my hands/palms as promised. See the pic of the glove after my crash.

All things considered, I would definitely recommend a buy.
