@Aditya How about a long term review of DSG Revive gloves. I wish to buy them/ another pair of Cramster Twister. Twister has held good for around 10k km + a couple of falls. No need to change, but just wish to have another pair.

Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

It is OK actually.. It will take 10 days to ship to Mumbai (Took 10 days for Nasik for me). but why would you want to do that.. you could go over Smart Designs Wadala and pick up whatever you want.

I have posted a review on the revive gloves on this thread earlier. You might have to search for it.

In a nutshell i can tell you that the gloves are superb and the fit and feel is excellent. I have ridden over 7500 kms with these gloves and the only thing i can say as an improvement area is that the velcro straps have become weak. They still stick but not as good as new. This is a very minor issue though. Not a stitch or a tear since i bought it. Very satisfied.

The gloves although not waterproof will resist water/rain for sometime. When we rode to Ooty early this month we got caught in torrential downpour but continued the ride. My gloves were soaking wet after riding in this kind of rain for 20-30 kms. But the next day the insides were dry. Also they dont give off color so my hands were not black (another rider was riding with cramster gloves and his hands looked like he had just completed a shift at a fireworks factory ).

Overall a very good buy. There are air vents on the fingers which work well and there are CF/kevlar protective bits on fingers in addition to the knuckles. highly recommended and very good VFM.

The discounted prices on DSG products are only valid if bought from their store directly (walk-in purchase) or buying online. Check with them to be sure. I dont think you will get the discounted rates at their dealer outlets.

                • a review of the DSG Maze jacket original priced at 6k (when i bought it 1 week back)....

a bit heavy then the others
                  looks (subjective): amazing
protection : havent yet tried by falling of a bike but friends were punching me and didnt feel a thing
NOT water proof not even the liner is water proof although the liner is very warm.
about ventilation: amazing ventilation apart from the weight of the jacket you wont even feel you are actually wearing it...

It was 6k when I bought it last December as well
And yes, it is NOT water proof, but it can be worn in light showers, it's water resistant -- I've tried it

                      • Guys how is this Falcon jacket?

Being low prices does it means it doesnt has elbow guard and other protection as compared to the Maze and nero?

I'm planning on getting a jacket while this sale lasts so just clarifying a few doubts...

You can read up the features of the jacket in detail on planetdsg.com.
IIRC, it is a full fledged (i mean with elbow, back & shoulder protectors), water repellant jacket (not water-proof like the Nero or Phoenix), but without reflective 3M stripes, which I personally feel is a must for low-light/night riding.
It has been selling for 3,790 for over 2 months now.

The pleasure is when your rear wheel slides, and you bring it back; and when the front wheel lifts, you take your time bringing it back.

btw, the falcon is quoted at Rs. 3,609.52 on PlanetDSG : Motorcycle Riding Gear, Accessories, Apparel and more.... But this price is only for online purchases or purchases made at the DSG Store, Pune.
You might want to look at the Phoenix & the Nero for Rs. 1,000 extra. These 2 are fully waterproof jackets, & come with 3M reflective stripes (both these features are lacking in the Falcon). However these 2 jackets are not suitable for extreme hot conditions, & a maze jacket would be better for hot weather riding.
