I called Hemant bhai... He sorted out the issue for me... He said that the store guys were instructed to charge that much unless the buyer has spoken to him prior to the purchase (which I hadn't)... I guess it was my fault then... He will adjust the amount in my future purchases...

I will be deleting my prior posts (not interested in spoiling the guys name)...

PS: Prateek, he quoted 450/- for the guards over the phone, but not sure if it was for only knee or knee+elbow set... Give me a call when to you down there, will join you...

Yea..He too needs to run his business..We are fortunate to get discounts from him.

Talking about the guards,i would go and check it on monday. Let me know if you would be free that time.we could have a small AH Helmets G2G..

Boots - Neglected Safety accessory

Guys

Went throught the entire thread....everybody had been speaking about Jackets / Gloves / Knee or Elbow Gaurd...but nobody spoke about the boot......surprising! is it not a important accessory....have seen many guys post the snaps of their jackets / gloves / knee or elbow gaurds and not even a single person has posted their shoe's snap... should there be a seperate thread altogether for this.

That is not true.There are many ppl who have bought boots and shared pics.not as much as the other riding gears though.

Cool.Did yu ask the guy when is hemant guy gonna come back?

he normally gives that to xbhpians at Rs.450/-...others anything above that...so bargain...if he doesnt walk out of the shop...the same you'l get at AA or probikers or lamington road for 400-425...same for any other stuff...

many here may say that hemant bhai is a good...helpful guy...may be he is...but remember he is out there to do buisness...he hasnt started a service for xbhp...and no one from xbhp has specifically given his reference....we all are here just to help each other and have suggested such places where biker's stuff is available...

P.S. Do not give my reference or even take my name there....you would never get any discounts i have troubled the guy to the core once when he had quoted me Rs.4000/- for stuff which was not even worth Rs.2000/-

Absolutely right ninad... I got the Probiker gloves from him for Rs.400/- just 2 weeks back. The price he quoted to Pratheek for LS2 Esprit helmet was Rs.3800/- which I got for Rs.3150/-. a Nice Cross helmet .. which he had quoted me 3.5k 1 year back ... same type he gave away for 3k... Might be because we got (2 LS2esprit + 1 Cross + 1Chain lube + Probiker gloves) a total of about 11k shopping from him. What I have noticed is you go in group... get all the info about the exact price online... and then purchase instaed of just going there .. and deciding what you will have.. Off course you can keep options. He is a nice guy and knows his business. So you should be also smart enough to get the right thing @ right price.

Not factually correct - I've posted a review of my own boots here - http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/universa...tml#post503515 and have seen others post pics too.

But you're right in your observation that many do not consider boots as important as the other items. I know very few members who actually have dedicated footwear - go figure.

Well, order through e-bay otherwise. Last week, I used my CC to purchase a motorcycle lock at JC Motors & they perfectly accepted my Indian CC & the shipment was delivered promptly in US.
