Nitro are made with ventilated leather and not waterproof.

These are waterproof: DSG Acqua Waterproof Gloves:Black - 2,399.00Rs

Do u really need completely waterproof gloves for all yr long riding in Mumbai? Ventilated models are a better option in Mumbai's hot n humid climate.

I feel ventilated model shall be better for gloves. Please also reply whethero nero jackets can resist mild rain fall, if it can provide better ventilation and resisit minor rains then I can go for it.

          • is Leatherup.com good?

            Hi xBhpians!

What's your take on the website Leatherup.com ?

Has anybody ordered from them? Or heard from others about this site..

Some of the Mesh Jackets on Closeout deals are very attractive VFM (<50 USD!):
            • Xelement XS-6285 Armored High-Tech-Fabric Motorcycle Jacket- see here
            • Vulcan NF-7001 Armored Waterproof Mens Textile Motorcycle Jacket with Mesh Panels- see here

Will the shipping/customs cost will be very high? I checked with Iccworld.com and they quote approx Rs.6K . Please share your views.

            • I've ordered their Xelement full gauntlet leather gloves. My friend will be getting it down from the US next month. Can comment on the quality only then, but from what I saw, it seemed very good vfm.

                • I bought a cram(p)ster knee guard from the Bangalore shop and its right one broke on its very first use . Had to do some juggad for the entire Leh trip.

Shall I get it back to them? Was there any warranty on these products like manufacturing defects etc. since these are supposed to be tough products made to give us protection. Now I wonder how safe their other products are ...

You may want to look up a mesh jacket with removable inner liner. Ventilated jackets only has pockets of ventilation for air circulation and will be insufficient for place like Mumbai. Where as mesh provides ventilation for the entire body. Even that can get hot. Believe me, I use one.

Rjays will be a good starting point to hunt for a mesh jacket.

                        Thanks Kay,
You are right in mumbai, almost 10 months it is hot with maximum humidity. But i have one question that whether these mesh type jackets could provide resistance form rain.
I was going through cramster brezeer 4, and was thinking the same.
I was unable to find Rjays dealer ship around Mulund, please help me where I can find it here in Mumbai

The rjays dealer is in tardeo - bachoo motors.
The rjays swift comes with a rain liner but in very heavy rainfall you are bound to get wet. I wear a raincoat over my rjays.

One of our fellow members here (n_aditya) had the same experience with the knee guards. On the first ride, one of the rivets came off. He returned the knee-guards to Cramster (Keerthi, the owner was there) the same/next day, and was refunded the cash without a word from their side.

The pleasure is when your rear wheel slides, and you bring it back; and when the front wheel lifts, you take your time bringing it back.
