Agree. You can get Daijya or Nuvo at 4-5.5k. Try planetdsg.com. LS2 is also good at 3-3.5K. Models are dependent on your choice of graphics (Dragon / Turbo / Phobia to name a few). You can check BikeGear : Helmets and Bike gears in India at lowest price with free shipping or http://stores.ebay.in/eastwinsOriginally posted by Eshan-P180 View PostLesson learnt.
Cramster TRG2 are excellant but i wouldnt advice if you have long tours and trips. The glove position and palm materials are too light to take the impact. I would suggest DSG Primal in that budget. Construction and overall feel is simply superb, be it short or long tours the glove fits well.
About a helmet, I think LS2 will fit in the list. If you have increased your budget a bit then Nouvo some brand by that is present. But then again I personally feel LS 2 to be good and efficient.
Please dont buy VEGA BOOLEAN...Its not that safe, personal experience again.
Invest good in a sturdy one piece helmet, try to avoid clip ones or multi ones which can break in one impact.
Also, I would recommend the DSG Primal or DSG Carbon gloves. Good for the price and safe as wellsasikiran_bs
Biking / Music / Photography - Everything else is useless!!!

Hi lalitp,Originally posted by lalitp View PostThanks a lot the information, appreciated it.
I would recommend the JK27 over the JK17.
Over the past 1 month or so, I had been in touch with the Scoyco dealer for Pune, Mr Baljeet Singh Kocchar. Yesterday, I decided to give myself a New Year present in the form of a riding jacket so went over to meet him. He took me to a store in Kalyaninagar where I checked out the JK17 and the JK27.
Believe me when I say this but the JK17 seems to be a real cheapo jacket when seen next to a JK 27. The 17 is flimsy, has very thin fabric and the armour too is of thin plates. The price difference between the two is much lesser than the quantum jump in quality of the 27; the 17 is about 4K while the 27 was 6.8K
In the 27, I found the ideal combo of an all weather jacket. It is fabric but with a rainproof inner so there is no need to wear a separate rain cover over it. It is very well ventilated with 3 strategically placed vents on either side - these channelize the airflow over the complete upper torso (you have to wear it on a summer day to feel the difference) yet has a good winter liner for the cold. There are an adequate number of pockets with a special feature - the rear bum pocket which is like a small knapsack in volume.
All in all, I am relieved that I did not go for a DSG or a Cramster.

Upgrade to Riding Pants.
Hey guys,
Firstly, Happy 2012 to all of you.
I am thinking about buying riding pants and currently I am confused between cramsters and AGV sports. price difference between the two is just a thousand bucks.
Please post in your opinions regarding the pros and cons of both and also if there are any more options I should consider ??

Dont know about AGVsport, but Cramster Velocity is VFM. It has a CE knee protector, thick foam padding at the back and thighs. Very comfortable if you have proper fit - so chose after testing it on. Current version comes with a removable thermal liner. Pretty water resistant too.Originally posted by Varun.Lamba View PostHey guys,

What Motorcycle boots provide which these boots cannot provide is
Steel or molded plastic ankle protection
Toe protection
Injection molded Sole, which reduce road vibration.
Security/Hidden lace so that lace is not hanging outside, and might get struck in case of accident.
And as some one pointed out before in this post, Its better to be breathable than waterproof, since if somehow water makes inside waterproof boots it wont get dry, since its not breathable.
Yes rain cover for boots are useful, but you have to wear it only when riding, if you walk with it, it will tear down.---------------------

Good to see you investing money on riding gear after your crash. Wrt gloves, I would say try out both the TRG2 and the DSG pair and see which is more comfortable. I use the TRG2 and find it a much better fit for my hand as compared to the DSG. Others feel the opposite.Originally posted by UTKARSH STUNTY SHARMA View Posthello everyone, i recently had a bad crash on my joel'ed menace, my gliders helmet got cracked, ang got bad scratches on my rt hand and there is a dislocation near the wrist too. So was planing to invest in riding gears. Since my budget is less so will get a armoured jacket soon. But now i need a new helmet and gloves. I have shortlisted cramster trg2 for the gloves. Howz it ..?? And some advices for helmet too in the range of 2-4k. Thanks
When it comes to a helmet, buy the best helmet you can afford. It is that simple.

+1; I find DSG to be extremely great; my MX1 gave up less than 5K kms, while the Revive is still strong with over 16K+ kms. Somehow I lost confidence with CrapsterOriginally posted by neil.jericho View PostOthers feel the opposite
+1; but settle nothing less than Vega, Studds etc; and most importantly, TRY the helmet before you buy.Originally posted by neil.jericho View PostWhen it comes to a helmet, buy the best helmet you can afford. It is that simple.Skill is what keeps you on a Motorcycle

Looking for a pair of gloves with a max budget of 3k. Usage would be mostly for touring but will use it in city riding too moderately. Looking at RJays & DSG. Any other suggestions would be a welcome. Would be using it under bangalore climate conditions (mostly rainy
). And obviously VFM is a must have quality
.
Any suggestions people??
NOT BEEN THERE NOT DONE THAT
