  • Any reviews about the Rjays Swift ?

A very good and safe biker not only because he can pop up either of the wheels, scrape his knees on a corner or go fast and make it look stylish but because he very well knows his limits and capabilities and has the patience to learn about others and ride safe ! :)

          • Has anyone tried scoyco jackets? trying to get the JK17 model for my wifey. Inquired around and seems i could get one for 3900.

A good long ride can clear your mind, restore your faith, and use up a lot of fuel.

Always be ready (get geared) to fall and then think of sitting on the motorcycle.

Haven't tried one myself, but reviews received are all positive and claim to be VFM. Not necessarily the best out there, but for the money definitely worth it. The fit is a bit snug though.

thanks for the heads up man! fit is decent enough, but did not like the colors in stock.. so was wondering if its worth!

                • A friend recently bought the Scoyco JK 17. Pretty decent Jacket but no liner for winter and is definitely not water proof. Its great for city rides and dry weather but would definitely recommend spending a little extra and consider the cramster Breezer or One of the DSG's.

Also i heard that planet DSG would be offering discounts on Jackets. Discounts were to be available on PRS website on Rjays as well.

NOTE: I have not verified the above information but i think i read about this very recently.

A tap to shift and flick of the wrist

The beast rips the road, hell yeah, i feel alive.

Have been using these one too for last one year. The vents do their work very well for Delhi summers. The "snug fit" will disappear after you use for couple of times.

Not the best but yes definitely the best VFM here

Its not water-proof but its little bit water resistant. The requirement may vary depending upon climatic conditions too

Pro: Cheap at Rs.4999 (the new price after the jackets were ordered from China if I am not mistaken)
                      Has CE approved armour
Mesh construction and can be used in the summers as well (though in traffic, it sucks! literally)
after +2 years of usage, still looks brand new, velcro straps are strong as ever, and the elbow strap does not come out either.

                      Cons
                      No winter liner
Rain liner is only good for light rains
Back protector is only sponge so not really that useful.

New ones made in China so quality needs to be tested

Since you are from Mumbai I would advise you to avoid that jacket. Its completely useless in our kind of climate. Also it doesn't have CE approved armour. Better go for jackets with Mesh construction. Try DSG or RJays just 1K more than Scoyco but with better protectors and build quality.

Sunnyside_up! has explained the jackets and the conditions precisely here.

                          • Guys, can some one throw some light on Alpinestars SP-X Gloves? how good are they and are they VFM? and compared to DSG Nitro Gloves and DSG Revive Gloves which are better for all season wear?

If yes how much you paid extra apart from the actual cost of helmet or any other gears?

ICC world will tell you the exact importing costs along with duties when you tell them what exactly you wish to buy.
They have this advanced qoute system that tells you the correct costs.
Speculated amount here can be wrong if it does not match their service costs...
