Got my pair of Cramster MX3 gloves yesterday for Rs. 1,100 from the Cramster store, Cunningham Road, Bangalore.
Very much impressed with the initial feel, quality and finish of it. Did not take long to get used to ride with them on. Makes me wonder now how did i manage to munch > 30k kms on my ZMA without gloves!

Thats the thing about riding gear - once you start riding with it, you wonder how in the world you managed for so long without it. I experienced the same thing when I first started riding with gloves, then a riding jacket and then riding boots. Now I cant ride without all 3.

Now you know why I dont make it for the weekend rides! Besides some of the guys come with cameras having lenses longer than my foot

I find riding pants a tad uncomfortable and hence stick to knee guards from <Server Warning! Name cannot be displayed> on any ride out of the city.

Edit: Whats with the server warning? I think some people I know, I wont mention names here, ** cough cough Adit cough ya cough cough** have manged to set server side restrictions! Oh well, all I can say is that it sounds like Hamster

              • Jackets

                Hi
I have ride a Yamaha Fazer 150, 2011 model. I am occasional tourer and go on 500+ Kms solo rides.
I own these DSG Vector Gloves - 2,750.00Rs
Looking for some good gear to protect myself. It would be great if you guys could help.
                Looking for jackets.
                1. DSG Nero Jacket - 5,499.00Rs
                2. DSG Phoenix Jacket Red - 5,499.00Rs
                3. DSG Trition just launched.

I am looking for CE amours on chest, shoulder, back, elbow.
I guess the above do not have chest and back protectors. Can these fit Alpinestars protectors?
                Any other options/suggestions are welcome.

I am not in for maze.
                Regards

Have seen Trition , and I personally found it quite stylish and also serving as a good safe riding jacket.
They have back protectors but no chest protector. Yes you can get separate protectors though.

                      • Must Read!

I've posted this in the helmets thread too as I wanted as many as possible to read this.

I received very sad news two days ago - was on a ride to Kodaikanal so could not update -

A friend of mine met with an accident last week and was battling for his life in Mumbai. Unfortunately despite the best medical attention, he passed away without ever regaining consciousness. Cause of death, head-injury.

The 38 year-old leaves behind a wife and infant child. My prayers are for the family.

Now here's the lesson to be learnt - he NEVER rode to a meet without full gear - from head to toe. However on that fateful day, he was going to a place nearby his home and he decided to take his wife's scooter. The combination of proximity to his home and the fact he was riding just a scooter relaxed him to the point where he chose not to wear his helmet.

If he had chosen to wear his helmet that day as he normally did when he rode his 650r, its very likely he would be alive today and his child would have a father.

Let us learn from this tragedy - NEVER ride without a helmet, no matter how small the bike, no matter how short a distance.

The best gear in the world is no guarantee that we will survive a crash - but what we love to do is dangerous enough without the odds being stacked against us. Be smart and be responsible. We owe it to ourselves and our families.

Personally I believe ATGATT (All The Gear All The Time) is the only way to go and have been made fun of by fellow bikers for showing up for even dinner meets in full gear but please guys - At least put a lid on!

I have a the same pants, the only problem being: one knee pad is missing :S.. is it supposed to be like this? Unfortunately someone else ordered on my behalf, so difficult to follow up, hence thinking of buying a pair of knee pads from here itself. Any ideas?
