Btw, if you have ordered your riding pants, is it possible to drop in a mail to em asking if they can ship an extra pair of knee pads?

I think returning the pant is the only option here, but courier charges wont work out.

Strongly recommend that you do NOT buy a waterproof anything in Chennai. It rains only two months in a year in Chennai and waterproof gear is extremely hot to wear. Many newbies have made this mistake, and spent money only to junk it and then buy suitable gear again.

Save your cash and consult with seniors in Chennai first.

The cramster yes, that would be me.
VFM and 10 times better than the Rjays.
Expansion chamber accommodates your helmet and other stuff like books, tiffins if you go to office. Rain jacket that is think and, wallet and mobiles in the side pockets.

Ensures you do not get strained cz the bag does not come between any aspect of riding.

The rain cover is simply superb helps in two ways -
                      1) Increases visibility to others of your presence cz it has got that bright yellow color.
                      2) It ensured my books and SLR camera with added lens to be dry through out the 250odd kms ride from Pune to Kolhapur with rains worst than ever and constant for 2 to 3 hours...

Yes, the paint might fade but thats temporary. If you wash the bike with soap and apply some waxpol the faded part goes away and ensures the tank is new.

The keyholder strap is an added attraction.

Attaching some pics that can help you see the bag in working mode.

Can vouch for cramster myself. I use one. Solid as can be. And yup! It can fit a full faced helmet . Problem is, the bottom is made of some harder material and scratch the tank. Now I use piece of cloth to protect. Wrote to cramster about it. Got reply saying they were originally designed to protect the bag against the bulging tank cap on 'bullets'. Doesn't make much sense. Anyway that's the story.

Not req. Its just cloth, does not scratch up the tank. Iam using it for 2 years now.
Yes it does fade the paint but after a wash and polishing everything is back to normal.
The chances of the bag slipping are more when using cloth, potholes or cornering speeds and body movements can move the cloth position resulting in slipping or changing position of bag...

Just wash the bike after using the bag and polish the tank and you have a brand new tank...

Dude I bought the Cramster Turtle yesterday. It is, IMO, 'Just Sufficient'. Plus i am not too impressed by the material of the bag. Inner lining seems like it will crack and fall off (something i saw with the cheaper travel bags). Also the plastic clamps aren't too good (read: cheap plastic). Otherwise the bag sticks to the tank really well even at 120 kays and is real VFM.

                              • Got my Rjays Swift from Orion Motors Bangalore @ Rs. 5k.

Everything starting with the zippers is top notch quality.

I have attached shoulder and elbow guards that came within the jacket. Can someone pls confirm if these are appropriate? Not sure if these really provide enough protection in a crash
