  • @Vicky: Great specifications there! The 'Core 216' based GTX260 is an absolute killer, according to me! Superb.. He is a gamer, it seems, eh??

Well, I had a 500W power supply before I got the GTX-260, but I felt it would obviously be better to upgrade to a 700-800W power suppy before I get the behemoth..
    :)

Also, I got bored with Witcher. Unless someone comes up with an "Enhanced Decapitations and Gore" Mod for that game, I aint playing it for a while. Will prefer Oblivion to that any day. Atleast it has got plenty of spells to throw on the city guards!

So you got Xbox 360 huh! How is Forza Motorsport 2 for you on that one?!
Well personally I dont prefer driving simulators.. so a big NO to Forza.. but I have tried Dirt.. pretty killer graphics.. right now saving for Gears of War2.. finished GoW1 3 times already!!
Well regarding games like god of war.. there is a game "Conan" or "Konan" I dont remember the spelling.. I downloaded it frm xboxlive.. the game play was similar to god of war.. u can also try that...

I agree. Game play is more like NFS MW.

        I use a 2GB RAM + Nvdia GeForce Go 7150 +
1.90 GHz AMD Turion 64 X2 Mobile Technology TL-58. Could the lag be because of the system configuration or because of the cracks??

Download the rar files. Extract it. You will get an iso. Extract / Boot the iso.

Get a registration code (DVD Key ) - Install it.

Replace NFS.exe with the crack. Play. Enjoy

I'm a HUGE RPG nut. Name a decent RPG and I've probably not just played it, but signed off a few weeks of my life to it in complete slavery!

            Favs:

Planescape Torment, Baldurs Gate(all), Fallout, Fallout 2, Knights Of The Old Republic, KOTOR 2, Oblivion, Mass Effect, Neverwinter Nights 2 + Mask Of The Betrayer, Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodlines, and a few I'm dead sure I'm forgetting.

I really cant wait for the one game which no one seems to care about - Fallout 3!! Seriously, if you want kickass immersive gameplay, you NEED to check it out!

Oh and crysis was one heck of a game - although I'm not much of an FPS gamer, this one was FUN! So was Gears of War!

My rig - it's what runs my audio production work, just threw in a nice graphics card to turn it into a gaming rig when needed.

Intel Xeon e5420 X 2 (total 8 cores Assasin's Creed actually used this!!!)
            tyan tempest s5397 m/b
            4 gb FBDIMM ram
24" LG full HD lcd display + 19" Benq LCD display, rotated for portrait mode.
            NVidia 8800GT 512mb
xbox 360 controller(playing gears of war on this is just too rewarding! Although aiming is a pain!)
            2.3tb HDD

It's a major overkill for gaming, especially the processors, but I need them for audio production work.

Almost all games run great @ 1920 X 1200, with everything set to max, although with some games, I've to set the number of processors affinity a little lower, for bad multicore programming!!

Also, Assasin's Creed was probably the only game which used ALL 8 cores of my system - huge game world, huge calculations, raw power!

            Seriously, no RPG fans here???
I am a big RPG Fan too. Funny I dont see see Fallout 3 mentioned much.

What a co-incidence! Even I have been shuffling between these two titles, each night after getting home from work!

Dead Space : a couple of hours
Fallout - 3 : Well, there is no end to it, once you start, but I try and keep it down to a couple of hours as well..

                  • Completed Warhead on my new rig. Runs really good on a 9600GT. Gameplay pretty much same as Crysis. But storyline is too short. Was really getting into it when it finished . Now replaying Turok, with all settings MAXed out

Yes, Warhead is a bloody short game but an enjoyable one nonetheless, both from a technical standpoint and the gameplay point of view..

P.S: How is Turok? I mean the gameplay, the controls, graphics, etc.

Lolz me too. About two hours of Dead Space is all I can take. Its too stressful with all those audio daggers and panicky moments. FO3 is a lot calmer environment.

Yes, exactly! Because of the incredible sound effects, it really gets on to the nerves. This game has got excellent audio, really!

Turok is very enjoyable. Graphics are good. It uses the Unreal Engine so gameplay is great. There are small bugs in the V1.0 therefore I had to download a patch. There are some points in the game where you don't die but you're "stuck". Besides that, a good game with a good story. Pretty long too, considering I've played twice as long as Warhead and I haven't finished it.

Yes, its a very very good game. Great RPG/Action with good coverage of vehicles, FPS, and strategy. Wonderful Game.

P.S:- People who liked Fallout 3 should check this out.

Yes, heard and read A LOT about Mass Effect but sadly could not get my hands on the title till now! Perhaps, someday would be able to play it..

@Pranay: Thanks for that insight into Turok. I hear that one can kill dinosaurs as well, in this game. Now, that must be a very satisfying (not to mention unique) experience. After all, it's not everyday that you get to kill dinosaurs, you see..
