Re: Let there be Light : Bike Lighting, HID etc
I do not really have a solution yet. An after market LED setup i.e. two individual units of 18W light bars, one with 60 and the other with 30 degree beam pattern may work if focused correctly. You can directly draw the connections from the battery and no modifications required. Moreover you can see for yourself the results before actually installing it in the bike. You will have to keep your headlights off while using the LED's else the battery may discharge faster than it can recharge. Let us know what you do to get your solution.Originally posted by Saksham Verenkar View Post

Well the main purpose is rain because on normal days the light is adequate in city limits. whats the solution for rain should i install the extra pair of fog lights that i have, they were effectve in rain but the they are the cheap chinese ones so they scatter a lot and cause too much glare so i don want to get them installedOriginally posted by somenath1061 View PostWont work with AC setup. You will need a rectifier for that. Anyways, I use a 55/60W halogen in my bike and when it rains it really does not help. If you are going to make the changes only due to rain then it might be a disappointment at the end.

The bosch/mico halogen retail at around 150-190 range now a days I think. The LEDs should cost around 20 a unit.
Lastly you can also buy Led headlight h4 units from AliExpress for around 500-900 rupees.

I have a splendor ismart110 which has a 35w headlamp, but in the night I feel it is inadequate and when it rains I have to drive based on estimation because am not able to see anything, i was thinking of trying a 55 w bulb but not sure. Also, I have a set of led fog lamps (from my previous bike) which worked good in night and rain but am not sure to use them on this because of warranty issues (the bike is just 3 months old)

Re: Let there be Light : Bike Lighting, HID etc
Hello everyone
Require suggestion for a good round headlight assembly for TVS Phoenix . OE headlight assembly is making rattling noise with change in rpms , tried everything to fix noise but still persists. As many people know TVS bikes have awesome reflectors with good output , so require best round headlight. Currently having Philips Xtreme vision H4 60/55w which will be carried over.Last edited by Balaji Raju; 08-25-2017, 11:05 AM.

These are Chinese and no brand.Originally posted by harshmane View PostI am also planning to get done similar modification and I am situated at Bangalore. Please share more info of 6 led lamps company and all.

A branded one like CREE would cost around 3500-4500 for this very same!
Each LED is 3W each so that makes 1 housing to be of 18W. Also it comes in a mixture of spot and flood light so fix them accordingly in a bit downward position else it will blind the oncoming traffic which is worse you can do.
Also these costs 900-1000₹ if you can do the talking!
Welding camps and fitting should not cost more than 200-300.

Re: Let there be Light : Bike Lighting, HID etc
Hi Guys
I am trying to add auxiliary lights to my bike. Planning to use a relay and fuse.
I wanted to tap into the license plate light to get the coil voltage for the relay (since it's a switched power line), so used crimp connectors to tap into the line but I don't see the multimeter reading 12V.
Could someone let me know what i could be doing wrong? Is this line not going to give me 12V?
Please let me know if you need any more details
Thanks for the help.

Lighting guide to Honda CB Unicorn Dazzler
Admit that stock headlight is not efficient in dazzler. Makes it very hard to ride on the highway and at night. I replaced the stock bulb with an osram night racer HS1, but it didn't really make much of a difference. I couldn't find any better solutions.
Any suggestion on getting better headlight solutions?

Re: Let there be Light : Bike Lighting, HID etc
That was my first choice but I don't want to order those things online if available and getting R15 type mirrors with indicators locally has deemed futile so far.Originally posted by vinay21987 View PostYou can move the indicators to mirror by getting a indicator integrated mirror, in my opinion it will look cool.
I'll see what can I do here.
Regards.
