Gixxer will have Hs1 bulb type. Any H4 bulb / LED will be a direct fit.

Using a 100/90 without a relay harness means using 60% of the bulb's capacity and brightness. Put a relay harness into place and notice the glow difference.

At the same the while u put a relay harness and use 95+% power of the bulb, the bulb will generate enormous heat (also light) and end product will be burnt or discoloured reflectors. Sometimes even reflectors can melt.

Also note that using 60% of 100 watts is 60 watts. Now think, is it worth ?

Maybe thats the reason i was able to access 100/90 bulb without any issue with reflector. Thanks for clarifying.

But Gixxer headlamp has 4 sockets and above LED has 3 sockets !

Gixxer will have Hs1 bulb type. Any H4 bulb / LED will be a direct fit.

I'm one of them using it without relay,call me stupid but with dual horn and a 100/90W bulb and i was expecting to face a problem but till now nope,not at all.

How much did you spend for the Auxiliary lamps. Where did you purchase them.
How is the load on the battery and electricals.

Finally got my desired illumination setup on my bike.
Running a led bulb on the stock reflector and using these quad led aux lights (all are in spot configuration) upper ones work as high beams and the other ones work as low beams.

Needless to say that these lights are properly adjusted for best road performance and minimum glare to oncoming traffic cuz these lights are blindingly bright.

The illumination on the road is just amazing , i can ride in complete pitch dark with no street lights at all with absolute confidence.

And the best part is even with all of them on the wattage being used is just a tad bit higher than the what was being consumed by a single 60w halogen.
My setups total wattage draw is 27w + 10w x 4 = 67w.
I mostly use the main headlamp for city use and lower led aux lamps only when needed which is rare. Higher led aux lamps are strictly for those pitch dark highway rides.

Currently I ride a Hero Honda CBZ Xtreme 2009 model. I purchased a pre owned model and happy with it. Now I want to convert to full dc. Are there any plug and play parts available from other HH models which can be a direct swap rather than getting coil rewinded. If rewinding is the only option then also I am ready for it. But I need a full reliable setup. I am planning to plonk in the following for my lighting setup.

Guys, I'm looking for some LED headlight for my CBR. Six months ago I upgrade to Philips Extreme vision from standard CBR bulb but the result was close to similar. I really need some better light for night. On the highways or even in cities I feel I should get more light.

Now, I do not want to go for any AUX or similar kind of light which needs a bit of body work, i.e. fitting the light outside of the headlight chamber.

Is there really any LED bulb which can lit the road like a HID bulb. Please note I want a H4 bulb.

Even for cars and of course bikes, the reflector is designed to withstand heat up to certain temperate. Trust me, 90/100 would definitely ruin headlights in the long run. It depends on how many hrs you use the lights continuously. I had 90/100 on my car and I usually ride long journeys. It burnt my reflector and the light out put became less than that of stock.


This is just an advise people give because of their experiences. It might not affect battery, but it will definitely burn the reflector when you switch on the light continuously for hours together. The final call whether to risk it or not is of course yours.
