can you post the picture of your led bulb .

It's the exact same bulb as yours. I saw the same pictures which you posted above on that Stella bulb's review page posted by you.

Anyhow I am pretty sure the bulb's circuit got damaged because of the alternating current in the Unicorn 160. I am saying this because the fan stopped working within a few days of operating the bulb on AC. Then I tried to make a "jugaad" blower fan for it, and for that purpose I was meddling with the led driver circuit (ballast) using a multimeter, blue and green wires were getting 5 volts DC so I was thinking of using that supply for my fan.

Alas, I got careless and the multimeter leads shorted a wire with another component nearby resulting in that component getting fried and burning off! Now I have kept that bulb aside (maybe I will get a LED driver for it someday). For now I have bought another H4 bulb of Zdatt brand with similar 3 colors variant.

Its a costly bulb, you could have been careful. Simply bridge rectifier could have solved your issue. No issues with the light output, its definitely less intensity than HID but for the bike its more than enough.

Thanks for the helpful tip, but alas it came too late! I had asked the solution for this specific problem a few pages back on this thread. Nobody could provide me a solution then. Also, the fan had stopped working within few days of running on AC setup, so that made the bulb unusable since it is mandatory to use fan for such LED bulbs.

Seeing at your advice about bridge rectifiers, you seem knowledgeable in electronics. Can I ask you how to salvage this bulb now? Can I buy new LED driver circuit from aliexpress (priced around $7) and join the wires of this stella bulb? For cooling, I wish to tie lots of copper strips (which is used in desoldering rolls) to the heat sink with thermal paste in between.

Sorry for the delayed reply. Nothing can be done , but you can open the driver and see what can be done or better talk to the seller he shall provide some discount. To be fair hope you do not raise the dispute for non functioning bulb. Do you have the issue with the pair of bulb or single bulb only.

Stella is a good brand and I bought my 3 color leds there. can you post the picture of your led bulb .

You can use it if the OE bulbs are h7 . AFAIK Ciaz uses h7 for both high and low. The reflector will be designed for that specific bulb.

I am okay buying separate spot ans flood lamps as long as overall butlers <$150 / Rs. 10,000. I look forward to suggestions. Saw some lights from goldrunway which are somewhat close in specs,but not a perfect match

and fixed the 35w osarams xenarch 4200k hid to them using a hella relay kit. As good as a cars headlight light up the road.

Extremely happy none of the LEDs ar evem close to the output. Even the ones they claim that are 100w
