Aux lights are made for a purpose. It's illegal to use ais lights in city or on any road. But these strobe lights aren't really aux lights. They are just there to irritate on coming traffic.

Personally I don't recommend you or anyone to use strobe ligjts.
Instead go for good drls. Like angel rings or like that.
Which isn't too bright or even flashes.

I don't understand. I guess you've got my 2 different queries mixed up. Whether aux lights are legal or not is something I'm unaware of. But the strobe lights I'm talking about are about the aftermarket relay switches that convert the already present indicators into something useful like 'hazard lights' with different glowing modes which I think are of minimal distraction on the highway but of useful importance to mark your presence on the road for the moving traffic at night. And drls in this situation are next to useless. Infact I find drls to be completely fancy and they lack any practicality. But again that's my personal opinion.
              Peace !

I'm sorry I misunderstood the strobes with hazard.
There's are many fancy lights in market that comes with strobe like flashers in built.
Anyways. Yes the strobe lights you are talking about are really good on long rides than the usual city commuting.
And coming to DRLs, they are not useless at all. If choosen correctly I.e. brand and light output your bike can be seen from kms away. They are bright and can lit up the road better than any cheap aux lights in market.

I am planning to put aux lights in my bike....I have a local dealer who has Mad Dog 30 w LEDs at the going rate of Rs. 4750 per light. It only comes with mounts. No wiring harness. I also have an option of getting the 2 Goldrunway 30 w at CNY 917 ( app Rs. 9700). But this comes with the wiring harness and switch. The only issue is if something goes wrong i cant claim warranty in the goldrunway.

How reliable is goldrunway? Anyone using these here?

Never heard of Gold Runway lights before but I've checked YouTube for the videos of light throw and all and it seems they're pretty good.
Also Gold Runway have their store on AliExpress where you can buy them at way too cheaper.

Gold runway are poor man's Denali or Clearwater ( which costs upwards of 30k)....they come with just a pair of lights, app 50 to 60 usd or you can choose to take the wiring harness, switch and mounts along with it, which will bump up the price to around 200 usd... A pair of 30w are more than sufficient for me, though the 40w are the most selling ones... And if you have someone in China and you can get it paid in Yuan, you save still more... A pair of 30w (round lights) is costing me app Rs 9500...and if I buy it online with usd, I end up paying around 14 k with courier charges

Been using an LED headlight since the past few months, but I'm sick of the white light not being visible on highways. So I'm planning to go back to halogens.

So will a 60/55W bulb be suitable for the Gixxer or should i stick to a 35W bulb? I dont care much about the spread, I need the bulb to gice a good light throw since I drive pretty fast and would like to be aware if any potholes are coming my way.

AFAIK, gixxer comes with a 60/55 w bulb. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Which led are you using? I've changed my headlight bulb to 4300 k 35 w led one week ago and I'm satisfied with the output. But it is not upto mark when riding while raining. I've ordered it from aliexpress and the cost was 550 rs. Usually, most of the leds are 6500k and if it is in your case, you can try a 4300 k led. It won't do as good as a halogen in foggy and rainy conditions, but it gives good illumination at 35 watts.
