I am some how inclined to Apache RTR 180 or 160. I want a bike which provides me a Good Mileage, Pick-up as well as looks. After all I am just a college guy. I commute mostly in cities. So therefore I need something that works out awesomely in traffic as well as highways too..... I am not much of a tourer but I do go out for touring twice or thrice a year. Please suggest me a bike which will be the best ones for Mumbai traffic and also for long highways.
Waiting for your much valuable comments and suggestions riders especially RTR owners. Thank you.
not considring ur previous high pickup, high trq and power m/c(p220)

        go for p135 LS
wonderful choice for a clg students.
        good on mileage(min 55 kmpl:city riding)
pick up is more then good.
        its a 4valve m/c.u dont have many options regarding 4 valve.its a gem.
no such major problems have been found yet.engine is export quality.
        excellent traffic cutter.
lots of design fetures.low reving;good for traffic.
        go for it.

R15 at no cost gives an average of 40 man. And as far as the New ZMR is concerned ..... IT gives a mileage of anywhere between 25-35 not more than that. You belong to degree college or Junior college.?
          Which one do you Ride.?

Being a college going boy you should go for RTR 180 which is best in looks, mileage n off course great on handling......
go for it, it's a great bike.....

Rishis, no bike will come with a guaranteed error-free-no-problem certificate. Mind this very fact about bikes here...It is often case with people who get disappointed with their new purcheses. Though your case is entirely different (carb coming out of bike at the speed of 50), you will be buying a new steed. So for a ex P220 owner, we do not have many option in Indian two wheeler market. If I had been you and had to purchase a new bike I would settle for RTR180 with my eyes closed (and after a ride on P180 perhaps )

I know buddy........ You Are very correct...... dude.... but the bike has affected my physical as well as mental state of being. I know bikes will have their pros and cons i am not going to get something made only for me or an error free bike. But it is possible to get something where i do not have to cancel my entire schedule for at-least 2 days in a week to get my bike fixed because of some weird problem. P220 has given me a lot of probz.

hmm...yups I can understand the "affected my physical as well as mental state of being" thing....Its too creepy a thing for your mental peace when the thing which is among the thing you love most, gsnatches your brain energies: Sad!! check the RTR as i said

I would rather say that the physical was more affected dude. I had a very bad accident lately. Therefore i have lost all the possible confidence in bajaj. The accident has provided me with some useful lessons regarding cyclewaalas and yes provided me with some injuries too for a lifetime.

I am considering other bikes but considering my journey i need good pick up also man. Therefore i am inclined towards RTR
since there is no budget limit go for the R15. The mileage is satisfactory. But if you are too concerned about the mileage then go with the dazzler. It gives you a very good mileage without any compromise in power.

If your heart is set on the RTR then go with it with your eyes closed. It is a very reliable bike (a lot more than bajaj). The RTR can be a bit uncomfortable for the kms you mentioned. If you are a tall person then the bike might be very cramped.

Madhav I am 6 feet tall. I dont think so personally the dazzler will suit me. R15 returns a good mileage but its not meant for city rides at-least it cannot be ridden in Mumbai traffic. Therefore I was more inclined towards RTR. Will it be Uncomfortable.? According to you.

yup it can be uncomfortable & by your height it would be very cramped( even i am of 6ft+ height). The apache is made for ONLY performance rather than rider's comfort. It has a split handle bar which gives you a better handling & a backache complimentary with that. I always had a affinity for that bike & wanted to own that.If budget, comfort & mileage werent my criteria I might have had that today. I had reached around 80kmph in the 3RD GEAR (160 rtr). So that shows the performance of that bike.

Any other Bike you can suggest. As a friend who is 6+ in height loves the seating position of RTR 180. I am gonna ride around 40kms everyday.Anyother bike to choose from in terms of mileage, power, effecieny , reliability.looks ( all rounder) ..???

well the love & the performance the bike offers makes you forget about that the uncomfortableness of the bike. For example the parents scold us & sometimes even punish us but the love they offer us makes forget of everything. The bike's performance would make even you a fan of it. What i said was from the owner's experience & my personal experience. As i have told you earlier if you love the bike then simply go for it with your eyes shut & think no further. If you want a good alternative then i would strongly suggest to wait until the SZ is out & the Hyper edge to reveal (Although i cant assure you of hyper edge's release). Since you are against bajaj then there are not too many options left.

How about the hunk or zma?? I know that the zma cant offer a very good mileage but the comfort is very high & the performance is a bit close to the 220. The fazer/fz are a bit too low on the mileage so i wouldnt recommend you. But if you are a bit ready to sacrifice on mileage then the zma & fazer are the best handlers ,good for city riding, comfortable, highly reliable & hence the bst selection.

It is then going to be the Karizma R/ZMR
RTR and R15 will both be very cramped for tall people.
And the Karizmas are great for touring.
Buy a Karizma, go touring and post a travelogue
