What i said was from the owner's experience & my personal experience. As i have told you earlier if you love the bike then simply go for it with your eyes shut & think no further. If you want a good alternative then i would strongly suggest to wait until the SZ is out & the Hyper edge to reveal (Although i cant assure you of hyper edge's release). Since you are against bajaj then there are not too many options left.
How about the hunk or zma?? I know that the zma cant offer a very good mileage but the comfort is very high & the performance is a bit close to the 220. The fazer/fz are a bit too low on the mileage so i wouldnt recommend you. But if you are a bit ready to sacrifice on mileage then the zma & fazer are the best handlers ,good for city riding, comfortable, highly reliable & hence the bst selection.Originally posted by MT01 View PostIt is then going to be the Karizma R/ZMR
RTR and R15 will both be very cramped for tall people.
And the Karizmas are great for touring.
Buy a Karizma, go touring and post a travelogue
I dont mind buying Even a Ninja 250R coz my parents are going to pay for it guys but the thing is i will have to fill in the fuel. The fuel cost is all mine. And some days i Ride also for 100 km in city itself and Mumbai is very costly place to breed in therefore it shouldn't create a big hole in the pocket....Originally posted by ang View PostGo for ZMA..Last edited by RISHIS; 07-30-2010, 11:32 PM.We Bikers are not those who ride to commute , But the ones who commute to ride

your requirements are a bit too hard to obtain. Its like this that in a bike you can get either power or mileage. The power & mileage in a bike are mostly inversely proportional. If you expect a 50 kmpl from an apache or any performance bike then it is highly impossible to get that figures in a city traffic.Originally posted by RISHIS View PostI dont mind buying Even a Ninja 250R coz my parents are going to pay for it guys but the thing is i will have to fill in the fuel. I am expecting a mileage of 40 from apache RTR at-least and power is phenomenal in the bike . Otherwise I will go for SZ. Lets see..... But RTR looks so compact and So Powerful.Originally posted by madhav krishna View Postyour requirements are a bit too hard to obtain. Its like this that in a bike you can get either power or mileage. Well, listen to me.
Take the Ninja.
You will love it.
Not to mention the envious looks you will get from apache and ZMR and other bike owners.
You will then sit down on your saddle and think and probably say with a sigh of contentment that you made the RIGHT DECISION.
And lower FE is a very small price to pay for this contentment.
And Ninja's FE isnt all that bad.
I have heard people getting 30 kmpl.

sarcasm at its best!
On a lighter note if you can afford the ninja go for it lots of newly acquired second hand ones going cheap by 50k margin, make a 20k ghapla and use that for refuelling.

.Obviously man i am still relishing those high speeds on the P220 and the songs going in my mind ''I am the Man"
and a huge grin on my face while passing other fellow bikers.
But why did you sell of 220.... ??We Bikers are not those who ride to commute , But the ones who commute to ride

During the first phase of break in (0-800 kms) I got a mileage (rough) of 38 kmph and in the second phase (800-1600) I got a mileage (rough) of 30 kmph. I would also like to mention that I did wring the throttle much swiftly in the second phase to enjoy the grunt.
