yes, it was the comet GT 250 with a V twin engine. it had 32 bhp of power. But i am pretty sure it wont be launched again and even if you get it in the second hand market, then the spares are very difficult to source

      @ RISHIS
The comet was launched once and it will not be relaunched.
And used bikes and spares are as rare as Kangaroos in India.

I am talking about purchasing a Second hand buddy. We can also take A Yamaha RD350 as an example. People have modified it to the fullest.. I have seen videos of the bike crossing 200kmph in a quarter mile stretch...

Well, go ahead if you can find a used one in a decent condition.
Most of the bikes will be abused beyond limits(atleast the ones I have seen were)

ahh at last you came back to the thread. The thread has a lot of twists & turns from RTR to comet to RD.

Have you tried out CBZ & hunk??

CBZ yes Hunk nope. But both the bikes have more or less same engine right..?

you are right both the bikes have a same engine but the hunk's engine is tuned for mileage & the CBZ's engine is tuned for power. The hunk loses its breath after 80kmph & struggles after that while the CBZ goes on.

                    No difference in tuning either.
both give same performance and same FE.

i am very confused over this thing. Your heart beats for the RTR then what is the problem in getting it?? Everyone on xbhp knows that the RTR is the best in its segment. Dont think further & get it home. You will never regret your decision.

dont worry dude the TVS would never give you any problems as the bajaj did. The apache is a very well designed bike & has a proven reliability. You can check out the apache ownership thread for this.

Dude, Just go for RTR it's a fully loaded bike (In its class). As some people said that you might have problem while riding it because of your height , they are partially right. Belive me initially you might face some problem with the riding position, but once you get used to it you will enjoy it.

                                Ahhh... finally.
I am not the only one who has faced problems with Bajaj.

                                Buddy
                                Dont go for apache.
You know the hyper edge may be a facelift and getting spares and resale will be an issue as you will own an older bike just after a month of owning it.

And havent you had enough of these Indian brands?
Once they sell the bike, to hell with customer.
No After Sales support, poor FE, performance nowhere close to what is advertised.
All these are typical indian manufacturer characteristics.
