I own a GS, and I can tell that the 'wife doesn't like pillion seat' is a myth. My wife has travelled atleast 5000 kms sitting on pillion on long tours, and never once complained. I can see how elder citizens may face problems while getting up and down the seat, but once on top, it offers the best view. The pillion can actually see the road, and not the back of the helmet of the rider.

EDIT: Saw some posts claiming low mileage of GS. I have been getting consistent 50KMPL +-1 km in Pune, and on long tours I got as good as 55 above. Once you set the carb perfectly, your are blessed with a good mileage

The SZ-R now comes with kicker, and now kerb weight has increased by 2 kg to 134 kg, but it is still the lightest 150cc, good for effortless city riding.

Gs150r, FZ, Uni, all have TPS.

SZR and FZ have same engine, but do they have same carburetor? FZ has TPS, but does the SZ-R have TPS?

Also, the Fz too has engine balancer. Since SZR and FZ share same engine, does SZ-R too have engine balancer?

This thread is resurrected without anybody posting queries about buying?! Strange!

Yes for the TPS, the SZR has an Mikuni BS-26 Carb. which comes with an throttle position sensor so as to fetch more mileage from the bike as well as give that immediate splurge of pickup, I m not sure about the engine balancer, is that the same what you mean by balance weights inside the engine? If so then the engine block is same as FZ in all construct so that must be there too.

Suggest Bike for Tall person like me around 6.2"

My Self Gagan staying in Delhi, working in Gurgaon .

My daily commuting is around 50KM ( Up and Down). In viewing this I sell out my pulsar 150CC & brought passion pro

But now i realized that I made a mistake , as far as mileage is concerned i am getting 55Kmpl but i am suffering from back problem as i am tall & slightly healthier :P.

Please suggest any good bike within 70-80 rupees in 150 cc segment, which can give me decent mileage also will not become problem for me ( oh!! my back is getting more pain day by day).

What about Suzuki GS and also anything you can suggest me

            Thanks.

              Thanks.
You are getting back pain, because passion is a shorter bike.

Buy the gs150r, as it is a taller bike and gives good comfort. Also, has digital speedo, engine balancer for smooth engine, and 6th gear for highways.

Unicorn has monoshock, but lacks digital speedo. Buy unicorn if you want monoshock for easier turning.

Hunk and CBZ have no kicker, but buy these only if you want rear disk brake. Otherwise dont buy. If not opting for rear disk brake in CBZ/hunk, then better buy Gs150r or Unicorn.

Buy SZ-R for lightweight city commuter bike. It has kicker now and low cost too.

Apache 180 has lesser vibration than 160. Buy Apache 180 if you want to ride fast and want rear disk brake. But Apache and Pulsar need more gear changes and clutch use in slow traffic.

Fz, SZ-R, and Dazzler also are good options. But Apache, SZ-R, Fz, and dazzler might be too small for tall people.

                Thanks for your advice,
So you want to say that.. I will Either choose GS-150R or Unicorn.. nothing else due to my height. Ok I will test ride these two bike in coming days.. but frankly to say I have not seen to many GSR on road.. dont know the reason... apart from this.. any other bike you can advice me... I used pulsar also.. or I am just thinking of doing some modification in the handle bar of passion pro as bike is just 8 months old.. ...

                Please suggest

Hero Honda(that was the name of the company when you bought the bike) products always have demand in the used bikes market. If your bike is in good shape, you might be able to recover upto 85% of the original price. Try to contact any dealer who has a used bike sales facility.

Have you considered the option of Karizma?

Gs150r, Unicorn, Hunk, and CBZ all are almost same height and weight. So, height and weight is not a differentiating factor among these.

The gs150r has good digital speedo with gear indicator, engine balancer, and 6th gear that helps in highway cruising. Has good power and torque. As you have rode pulsar before, I think you will actually find gs150r easier to ride.

The only reason to buy Hunk and CBZ is rear disc brake.

The only reason to buy Unicorn is monoshock; helps if you ride zig-zag in traffic. But riding zig-zag in traffic is not a safe thing, can cause accidents.

The dazzler, SZ-r, FZ16, and ApacheRTR 180 you might find slightly smaller.

Dazzler - Slightly lighter and powerful. Has rear disk, but no kicker. But thin front shock absorbers.

SZ-R - Light bike, good for city. Has kicker now.

Fz16 - Good style, good torque, thickest front shocks, has kicker, enjoyable. But mileage is low.

RTR180 - A fast and affordable bike with good quality finish. Has rear disk and kicker too. But needs more clutch use in slow riding.

The ZMA & UNI are good bike's and have been ruling the market for ages, but I believe its time to understand that these bikes are dated and their time has come. So I believe its best you opt for the GS150R, cause I've never been able to find a valid technical reason against it yet, and the best one I could come up till now was a dislike for the engine being noticeably painted in Gloss(Fear of paint peeling.).

I did a mistake of selling my Pulsar150 as it was lying unused for quite sometime and now a need has come to use bikes again. Currently using Super Splendor for a daily travel of 25KM's(Up and Down), the engine, pulling power is good but shock absorbers are bad.Gives lower back pain whenever the bike hits a small pothole or speed breaker.

What bikes can be considered now. I need a 150cc with straight seated driving position. Currently I see Unicorn, GS150R, Discover150cc are the available choices. Tried SZ-X, but was not comfortable with driving position(slightly forward inclined).

Are there any problems with CB-Unicorn like the user getting back pain due to stiffer mono-suspension.? Also is there a possibility to fix a side handle with a hook. Need to carry few things to office. :-)

well mono-suspension aids in comfort.you can always fix side-handle with hook.you are also advised too check out gs 150 r.
and the question remains why do i race?
