    Get the FZ 16/S
Unless you overrev every gear, you'd get pretty decent mileage. the worst i've got is 33 and the best i've got is ~60 (in splendor mode of course )
handles really well in cities. And with the monoshock, the bumpy roads won't be a problem (unless there's a pillion). Being a yamaha, no issues about reliability. Accelerates really quick in 0-80. takes twice that much time for 80-100. Also its very mileage sensitive. after about 70kmph, the mileage decreases by almost 1kmpl for every 1-2 kmph rise in speed

I like 220 but i want refined machine.
My minde is thinking of cbr(bit expencive) or fz(power is low)
For me reliablity is at first place.

Go for Hero Honda Karizma-R, it's refined, it's proven, it's the best
If I were you... I would take bank loan and book CBR, b'cos 'I' need this for next 7 years ?!

        decent mileage
        good for commuting and touring
        good torque/top end
        a head turner
will last you 7 years with no hassles
        under 1 lakh

but if u can wait till august, you can buy the cbr250 or any bigger pulsar that might be released

Thanks to all for your suggestion.
There is a good news my mechanic dismantled my engine and we found out that, play was only in con rod every thing else is in good condition.
I will get it back by monday, after that i will put it on sale. Mechanic told me that i can expect any where between 45 to 50 k of my RE.

I found it to be a little lazy when it climbs above 70kmph (some might say 80+ and some might 60). However, if you want smoothness and don't go 70+ usually then its a great machine to have

[B]RTR 180: But, being an unbiased person, let me tell you If you can't bear the vibration thingie then don't go for it. Yes it vibrates and some people don't like it but I'm okay with it and I was quite a natural thing to adapt it for me. If I'm getting great amount of power and acceleration with this, I don't have problems.
I usually dont ride fast in city but some times i do manage to cross 80.
On highway i cruz at around 90 or 100 and this speed is very manageable on TB. Acc of TB is linear ie its same form 0-60 and 60-100. so never felt any problem overtaking on high speed. Mileage was also good 35.

Vibes of RE are entirely different as compared to other machines. i touch 100 at around 3000 rpm in 5th gear. And i fell thump not vibes(and that thump makes one feel powerfull).

Pulsar and reliability dont go together AFAIK (no offense to the owners).
My mind is also telling me to go for CBR lets see how much i get for my RE, if i get desired amount i will go for it other wise i am still confused

It can even be assumed by Joel's work and comments on RTR engine and the confidence of TVS engineers deciding not to put revlimiter in it

Finally my TB is repaired bill is 10000/-
Problem- My timing cover gasket was worn out 1 yr back so i got it replaced by some mechanic in faridabad, that idiot placed std model gasket in TB because of which lubrication holes were partialy blocked and my engine cooked up

Now after being in ICU for 1 month she is running like new machine.
But i dont want to retain it any more so i have put it on sale (as demand of TB is less in market it will take loooong time to sale it)

Now i have concentrated my mind on 3 bikes
                  1) FZ
                  2) 220
                  3) ZMA

Guys can you please give me following details on above mentioned bikes:
                  1) Millage ( 70% sane riding)
                  2) Annual maintenance cost.
                  3) Comfort ( i love TB riding position even after 100 km it feels like 10)

As pointed, FZ/Fazer has anaemic top end = Not enough power for highway overtakes.

P220/Zma should be a fair replacement for the T'bird.

Both have stree-free riding postures and return similar averages.

Maintainence too equate to similar figures according to:
expensive Zma spares x less replacements = cheaper 220 spares x more replacements (why is an ex-RE owner worried about maintanence costs ?!)

Ideally, you shouldn't go wrong with either.

Bro,i own a one year old(just reached one year) P220 dtsi.
                          1. Mileage (on sane condition)-38-44 kmpl on 70-90kmph range, this varies due to quality and quantity of fuel and about past three months i have not gone below 40kmpl with occasional ripping.
Maintenance cost:Well when i bought my machine the very next day i experienced oil leak beneath the cooler pipe,it was just a washer changed asap under warranty. Then the first service costed me 800rs which included teflon coating,Bajaj recommends oil drain interval of 5000kms but i keep an interval of 2500kms.During this period i have to change the airfilter sensor, speedo sensor under warranty.speedo sensor change was due to an aftereffect of extreme off roading.Second service cost only 400rs and third service 600rs.My bike completed 11.5k kms
So my annual mantenance cost will be turned around to be 2500~3000rs.

PS:There will be many people who says p220 will make you frequently visit the svc, those are sensors.. this bike is loaded with many sensors wiz autochoke sensor, engine overheat sensor, speedo sensor, low oil warning sensor, battery low sensor, airfilter sensor...,and these sensors can go kaput any time. One can thing i can assure you,its pretty reliable engine which can take any abuses.

+1 My exact sentiment. Get a P220 or Zma-R. There is always certain degree of trade offs whatever machine you choose. It depends on which you consider more tolerable.

Get p220 if you want torque. I just love it's torque. Though I got a CBR now, I still love 220's torque compared to CBR. As per your first post in this thread, You can manage funds by august for a CBR right? So you can book one now and after 3-4 months you'll get the bike and also you'll be ready with funds.

Rode FZ today well as compared to other 150 cc it rides well but lack power IMO.
Looks like i have to go for 220 or ZMA.
Now i know about reliability of both machines.
Acc of both the machines are good.
So deciding factor will be mileage.
