Comfortable mileage: Best - RTR, Moderate Unicorn, Worst FZ
Less vibrations: Best Unicorn, Second Best FZ, Worst RTR
Pillion riders should feel comfortable, Best Unicorn, Second Best RTR, Worst FZ

best bike for you..
ok.. Enough has been said already about these bikes.. Seeing your budget I would just ask you head for your nearest yamaha dealer and test drive sz-r. It will fit your budget, give you enough mileage and power for your long rides. Looks good too, also good for pillion.
Regarding the bikes you have listed :
ride comfort, safety, looks - fazer
mileage and maintenance costs - unicorn
performance- apache
some myths about fazer - low top end - depends on rpm settings - easily hits 120.. If idle rpms are low - will struggle after 105.
Mileage- will remain 38- 42 most of the times
Ride quality and safety - superb, fairing is wind tunnel tested and wind blast is very low at high speeds. Also the road grip is excellent and high speed turns are made easily.
Maintenance costs - highest among the three.Last edited by muztariq; 03-05-2012, 12:09 AM.

Acoording to your needs
ride comfort and less maintenance -unicorn
long distance touring but little extra on maintenance-Fazer
Performance oriented but again little extra on maintenence-RTR
I have unicorn and i love it. Did Bangalore to Delhi on it without any problem.

I do not think that any of three are in your budget!Originally posted by ramsuresh View PostThanks sunil for approving the thread,

The RTR 160 HE costs 75K OTR Bangalore!
The FZ16/S costs 79-82K OTR Bangalore!
The Unicorn also costs over 70K and has a waiting period of 8 months.
The only bike that matches your criteria is the Unicorn(or the GS 150R).
The RTR 160 is the worst of these bikes to ride(for me,personally) and FZ,the best.

Hey ramsureshOriginally posted by ramsuresh View PostDear friends,
Currently I own TVS Flame 125cc and planning to buy a new bike but confused of which one to go with. I use it for city rides and for short rides of around 150 to 200 kms a day.
Can you just let me know which one to go with.......
Frankly speaking you should remove Fazer form your list because it requires huge maintenance and do not have good mileage now coming to rest two bikes both are awesome, most demanded at present and resell value is also high but I would recommend for Appache as it has more power, pickup is great and look is also impressive.Jai Ho

i totally disagree with you,it is hoot to ride, don't complain about sporty riding position,it goes with the dynamics with the bike.Originally posted by Vishwas Bharadwaj View PostThe RTR 160 is the worst of these bikes to ride(for me,personally) and FZ,the best.

So, updated list:
Fazer : 14Ps ; 13.6Nm
