the real world difference would be 5-10 kmpl max, that too i doubt in long term ownership.the thing is that honda's pgm-fi is[12 hole injector, compared to r15's 6 hole] more efficient and so is the dohc set-up.
and the question remains why do i race?

My first service is still due so, I personally wont be able to tell u the mileage..
But, showroom guys were saying u can get easily 45kmpl.. so, 40kmpl aint an
      unlikely figure
check out the ownership thread someone tested the bike at track check it

I'm skeptical about 150r's quality, if i'm right you own it... please tell me about the parts quality, and day to day riding comfort, and the riding position.
Also tell me about it's FE
        THANKS !

Will Pulsar 200ns be better than cbr 150r when it comes to daily city driving (gurgaon). ??

Definitely...... its a street fighter like Duke... And its upright seating position will be comfortable and those shorter gear ratios will help you with lesser gear changes......

Lol... I fail to understand how according to few people, the same technology which is implemented in the same way by a different brand becomes more advanced/refined (Read PGM-FI) in one brand than its other counter-part. I am strictly talking only about PGM-FI.

Coming to the topic.... i guess Duke 200 would be a good choice.... However owners have stated issues that are observed by many of them.. so it depends whether you can live with them or not.... as regards NS.. if you can wait for say 1-2 months after the bike is launched then its ok... I believe any new bike with any major change in engine should be judged after at least 1-2 months on road to fully understand the pros and cons...

Marginally yes. The NS riding position is more upright and bike has been tested on Indian roads and for Indian roads. CBR wouldn't stand far but still NS has its edge over the CBR here. How urgently do you need a bike? And have you taken test rides of any??

If its under a lac, you have

                      Pulsar 200 NS:
Wait a little more after the bike is released since first batch problems will show up and the company will rectify them.

                      Karizma R:
Its a proper tourer and you may not like it for its outdated looks and bland meters. But I suggest you still take it as an option. I too hated the bike but after I took a ride and understood the bike's capability based on its design, I've changed my mindset. You'll love it on the highways. But ya its not a head turner these days. FE is poor in city but good on highways.

                      P220:
Still available and will be a worthy option. The bike is powerful, returns decent FE, spares are cheap and still a head turner.

                      Apache180 ABS:
Very fast bike. FE is poor compared to P220. Spares are cheap again. Better in city than highway(IMHO). Post 4k rpm you will be vibrating along with the bike.

                      Any other particular criteria??

How much time will you think it will take BAJAJ to establish pulsar 220ns ie. to rectify first batch problems and all.

What I feel is that Bajaj is making the launch late also due to the reason that they are rectifying the issue faced in... duke. yes they share the same engine and 200NS would benefit from the issues faced in Dukes. Also Bajaj has tested them alot. We had seen so many test mules unlike the Duke so I hope the issues will be minimal. Its good that you're in gurgaon where the taxes are really low. In Bangalore the 200NS would easily come on-road at 1.1Lacs.

i wont recommend RTR if you tour or go on long drives oftenly. My xbhp friend has a rtr which has some or other issuess every ride. He has maintained his bike well but still.
