Re: New bike advice!!Apache RTR 160 vs Yamaha FZ vs Pulsar 135ls
Since the on road price of FZ and Apache 180 is almost same I am ready to go either way.But the fact remains that FZ's mileage is pathetic. But still just to get an expert opinion is there a lot of difference between Apache 160, Fz16/S and Apache 180's mileage??Originally posted by pcgamer View Post

Re: New bike advice!!Apache RTR 160 vs Yamaha FZ vs Pulsar 135ls
You can expect 35-40 kmpl with some rough riding(shifts around 6k RPM) from RTR180 in city, same or 1-2 less on FZ. RTR160 gives 40-45 with similar style of riding. On the performance front, RTR180 is almost a second quicker to 60km/h than FZ. So, it's a choice between best power, mileage and looks for youOriginally posted by harrypotter.27 View PostSince the on road price of FZ and Apache 180 is almost same I am ready to go either way.But the fact remains that FZ's mileage is pathetic. But still just to get an expert opinion is there a lot of difference between Apache 160, Fz16/S and Apache 180's mileage??

Previous question answered above, now coming to comparison between fz and apache, both are for streets, both are good but apache edges a bit over fz, better handling, better braking, more FE too, just see once mate and yes indeed both models are sold side by side, I liked the new model a little, it makes the Apache look meaner nowOriginally posted by harrypotter.27 View PostSince the on road price of FZ and Apache 180 is almost same I am ready to go either way.But the fact remains that FZ's mileage is pathetic. But still just to get an expert opinion is there a lot of difference between Apache 160, Fz16/S and Apache 180's mileage??

My bad, completely misunderstood this statement and suggest a used bike, which is not your requirement.Originally posted by harrypotter.27 View PostOh my god, the looks. Why did the have to spoil a perfectly good looking model. Is there any place I can get a old Apache model?
For the new ones.. I would vote for the 160 in your list.

My fz delivers approx. 48 km per litre.Originally posted by Rakesh Rok View PostPrevious question answered above, now coming to comparison between fz and apache, both are for streets, both are good but apache edges a bit over fz, better handling, better braking, more FE too, just see once mate and yes indeed both models are sold side by side, I liked the new model a little, it makes the Apache look meaner now

Really??48kmpl for FZ!!thats strange..Wonder what Apache gives then..I've heard a lot of FZ users complain of its pathetic mileage but anything above 45 is not bad at all..How much did you buy your FZ for buddy??Originally posted by hgps View Post^^ mine too

Well Apache seems to be a unanimous choice..Alright then moving on to test drives..Are test drives paid is there any obligation??I rode fz and apache about 6 months back but it wouldnt hurt to take a test ride for all three..would it?Originally posted by somen1984 View PostRTR is the best option in the trio!! a good city bike as well as good on highways!

FZ is a good bike but when it comes to highway or touring it feels lack of power or breathless post 100kmph.
Though it goes till 115kmph but it takes good time to reach.
Handling is little more better in FZ! Comfort is also better on FZ but RTR is also close to it.
Average is better in RTR and is capable of good handling and highways. Which makes it good bike for overall needs when compared in trio.
You won't regret for sure!.

Re: New bike advice!!Apache RTR 160 vs Yamaha FZ vs Pulsar 135ls
Alright so thats why I wanted to ask, is there any payment that has to be done for a test ride or any paperwork??I am pretty sure it is pretty straight forward but still i wanted to confirm..Originally posted by somen1984 View PostTR is very necessary!! This will help you to consider the facts!

Go showroom ,give them your driving license ,take test drive ,don't break the td bike ,return ,think and select the dream bike ,repeat step 1 ,buy the bike but inspect carefully ,if still not satisfied ,repeat step 2 and 3,then decide

Re: New bike advice!!Apache RTR 160 vs Yamaha FZ vs Pulsar 135ls
I always ride alone, ie: no pillion. Never cross 50kph, never cross 4k rpm while accelerating.Originally posted by harrypotter.27 View PostReally??48kmpl for FZ!!thats strange..Wonder what Apache gives then..I've heard a lot of FZ users complain of its pathetic mileage but anything above 45 is not bad at all..How much did you buy your FZ for buddy??
Adding a pillion drastically reduces the FE. i usually get 41-43kpl with pillion onboard. But i have seen as low as 35-37kpl
I bought it for 79k 2 years ago.
