Re: New bike advice!!Apache RTR 160 vs Yamaha FZ vs Pulsar 135ls
The low mileage of FZ is due its fatty rear tyre since its a street bike so it must not compromised wth handing and cornering...however new rtr160 comes with 110/80-17 and the older ones is 100/80-18..thats why apache gives a better mileage than fz.Originally posted by hgps View Post

Don't worry on Test Ride.Originally posted by harrypotter.27 View PostAlright so thats why I wanted to ask, is there any payment that has to be done for a test ride or any paperwork??I am pretty sure it is pretty straight forward but still i wanted to confirm..
Some showrooms take your Licence number, some board with you as a pillion or some don't take any thing from you and give you the bike to ride.
Even if you do an accident no need to worry at all.
Test Ride bikes are covered with 0 % depreciation insurance. So if anythings happen then it will be covered in insurance.
This is with 4 wheellers as well.
No need for any payment at all.

Re: New bike advice!!Apache RTR 160 vs Yamaha FZ vs Pulsar 135ls
Alright so, now that Ive decided on Apache which version to choose theres a 16k difference between Apache 160 Apaxhe 180 and Apache 180ABS.Which one to go for I'm a bit inclined towards 180 without ABS since it is only 5K higer than 160.So is ABS worth 10,000 extra??
Also STILL,
if you were to go for FZ what would it be FZ-S OR FZ16??

If you can stretch the budget then surely the ABS version is surely worth the money. Yes the ABS works perfectly in the panic situation and doesn't let the bike skid, telling from personal experience. Got my Beast 4 months ago and have completed 8.5k on the odometer and I can vouch about the braking and the power that this bike generates. The confidence that it gives you when you brake really hard and stop without any skid or rear wheel lift makes you feel you invested your money on the right place. From me definitely ABS version is recommended if you can stretch your budget.

Re: New bike advice!!Apache RTR 160 vs Yamaha FZ vs Pulsar 135ls
Alright so folks I went to the TVS showroom and TR'd the Apache 180 ABS.Great bike but the on road price is a whopping 94k!!I say this because you can get a Puldar ns for 97K.So is the apache not a bot overprised??All new doubts!!
Am I paying too much for good features but a sucky, sucky looking bike??And BTW the onroad price for FZS special edition is 88k.So thats not really helping me too much either.
Help guys!!I had my mind fixed on the Apache a few days ago but the on road price seems a bit steep for a 180cc bike..SHould i check out the Pulsar 220 or 200??Because I doubt if it'll suit my height.

Not trying to offend you or anything but, I'm afraid this doesn't help at all.It states all the facts I already know. The problem is the price vs features vs looks conundrum.Originally posted by ithebiker View Post

Well, for 94k, you get ABS which is a blessing. No bike in this category has ABS (maybe i don't know if there is any)Originally posted by harrypotter.27 View PostAlright so folks I went to the TVS showroom and TR'd the Apache 180 ABS.Great bike but the on road price is a whopping 94k!!I say this because you can get a Puldar ns for 97K.So is the apache not a bot overprised??All new doubts!!

Special Editions are always a couple of thousand costlier. The normal FZ-16 would cost you something 80k. I use one myself and apart from colour combinations, its all the same.
The P200ns is a worthy bike. TR it and see for yourself.
actually, now-a-days every 150cc bike will come to around 75k+, so be prepared to pay. And more for higher capacity.
Ride safe and have fun.

Buddy my ft also gives 45 plus average.Originally posted by harrypotter.27 View PostReally??48kmpl for FZ!!thats strange..Wonder what Apache gives then..I've heard a lot of FZ users complain of its pathetic mileage but anything above 45 is not bad at all..How much did you buy your FZ for buddy??
----consecutive posts auto-merged-----
Well Apache seems to be a unanimous choice..Alright then moving on to test drives..Are test drives paid is there any obligation??I rode fz and apache about 6 months back but it wouldnt hurt to take a test ride for all three..would it?

Pulsar220F never came with ABS.Originally posted by harrypotter.27 View PostWhoa!!I recently heard that even Pulsar 220F comes with a ABS.Is it true??Because it is in the same price bracket as Apache 180 ABS.So if even that has ABS then my choise is very very easy now.
But the biking world is expecting Pulsar200/Pulsar 375 with ABS. There have been some spyshots of it around the net. I am not able to insert hyperlink for some reason. You may google for it.

Ain't you getting diverted from your choices ??Originally posted by harrypotter.27 View PostWhoa!!I recently heard that even Pulsar 220F comes with a ABS.Is it true??Because it is in the same price bracket as Apache 180 ABS.So if even that has ABS then my choise is very very easy now.
higher the CC you go you won't get the average..
When you think on RTR180 Vs NS200, then you have to decide what to prefer more ??
1. Power ? then NS200
2. Liquid Cool then NS200
3. Mono Shocks then NS200
4. ABS then RTR
5. average than RTR
6. Top Speed then NS200.
7.Little less power than NS with average of 40kmpl+ then RTR
ABS is not a hard and fast rule where you won't fall... but a better feature which can minimize your fall or skid.
If you ride sanely then I am sure you won't need ABS.

I guess i am getting a bit diverted..But thats why I came to this forum..You know to be quite frank one of my major concerns is if the bike will suit me..Its Apache 160/180 vs Pulsar 220 as it stands now..I rode FZ-s for quite a while 10-12 KM(i know its not much but for a tr?Hell yeah!) but wasnt much impressed with its speed and power thus decided against it..

Re: New bike advice!!Apache RTR 160 vs Yamaha FZ vs Pulsar 135ls
We have already quoted that p220 doesnt cmes in ABS, first you was confused among rtr& fz and now on rtr&p220.. Bro dont think too much i know its your first bike and you need full features in it but you cant get all features of rtr on a pulsar or vice versa with that budget..Originally posted by harrypotter.27 View PostHaha!!
