One thing i want to ask thread starter you asked your query in this forum but in none of the replies you haven't asked any of the owners about the quality, performance, their ownership experience & after sales service because generally all people here asks these stuff before buying any bike or if they have difficulty in choosing the bike
    Thanks
    Ride safe :-)

Re: Honda CBR 250 STD vs KTM Duke 200 vs Hero Karizma ZMR 2014

Reading all your queries carefully, I'd suggest the either the KTM DUKE 390 or Honda Cbr250R ABS. Duke 200 may not have a 140 KMPH top speed I guess. Besides Cbr provides a smooth 100 KMPH cruising experience. Dukes are rather agressive racing machines with more agility. Think whether you like naked look or faired ones. Have a wise decision. Cheers!

Re: Honda CBR 250 STD vs KTM Duke 200 vs Hero Karizma ZMR 2014

Guys, please cut him some slack here...I'll explain you why...The village to which he belongs to is a very small place in Punjab (I haven't been there, but I have been to many such to know the exact conditions).

A guy from a remote place like this and having knowledge/following of Xbhp speaks volumes about this forum. I have been following this thread, and I know that his methodologies/posts are naive and he is repeating the same thing many times, but rather than getting on his throat, and thinking of making this forum unreachable to larger audience(from such places) by making joining difficult, let us just tell him what he is doing wrong, and if he still doesnt oblige, report to the mods.

Dear Thread Starter, following things seem wrong in your posts:
          - Firstly, please take time to think what you want to communicate, and then write it down and see if it says what you really want. I can see some of your posts being wrongly interpreted as they are ambiguous (not very clear)
          - Secondly, please do not use Caps while writing anything, it is offending. Be polite.
          - Thirdly, your family not understanding your choice or feelings is not something that anybody can control, so posting it here is just unnecessary. This forum is just about bikes and experiences.
          - Fourthly, rather than comparing anything else, take interest in performance, availability of service, after sales costs etc. while buying a new bike.
          - And please dont categorize yourself (Punjabi/Tamil etc.). Categorizing makes people judge other people from the same origin, which is not done (This one an OT, but couldn't help not saying it)

I hope everyone understands that we are not here to make fun of anyone, but to help and get help. Lastly, congrats for your decision and please keep these things in mind when your are posting something on this forum to make it more useful and meaningful.

          Cheers
          Akshay

Duke 200 still remains a powerful bike by Indian standards for beginners and intermediates alike. Congratulations on your new ride, buddy. Treat your bike gently during the run in period! (That means no more than 5k RPM or so for a while)

Love your bike and it will love you back. Stay safe and cheers.

@Ankiville used to commute to his office on his duke 200 and maximum number of people in our group own a duke 200, It doesn't mean it can't be used for commuting.
