If you take into account your requirements, ZMR is a better buy than RE. It's not that the RE is a 'bad' bike. It's just that the ZMR is a better city commuter and requires less maintenance. TR both and decide.
A bike on the road is worth two in the shed.

I was all set for the white, when i saw the red color zmr test report on this website itself. To top it, none of the dealers here have the red color. They all say the red color is not selling and so they get hardly one piece every 15-20 days.

White is too difficult to maintain.. unless you are ready to clean the bike everyday like Divya Sharan does.. then go for white, otherwise red any time..

Agree with you there. But i want to take a look at the red first and then take a call. Almost no one here has a red available.

Don't know which area in Bangalore you're put up, but just for your knowledge's sake - There is a red ZMR parked at:
1. Hero Showroom on Mysore Road (near Nayandahalli flyover) and
2. At an apartment complex bang opposite Manyata Tech Park near Nagavara (owned by someone of course, but it stays parked in shade most of the time).

If you're lucky and you stay near either of these areas, you can pay a visit on a weekend and check it out.
Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.

Divya Sharan .. This is a lovely piece of info. Thank you so much . I am put up at Frazer Town, near Ulsoor Lake. I will check out one of these places hopefully tomorrow. Good to know that a ZMR expert is in town.

Hello All,

So the bike arrived Friday Evening. Click image for larger version

The vibs are high at this point of time at lower RPMs, and also the gear shift to neutral looks like an impossible task. Apart from that Love the bike, and the attention it grabs.. ..

There is one issue though which happened yesterday, which i would share under "Motorcycle ownership experience" thread. Would really appreciate help on that.. Again, thanks to one and all..

ZMR gives a super smooth, proven engine, good after sales service and unquestionable reliability.

TB gives lots of sound, lots of vibrations, will leak oil everywhere, and the dealer will speak to you as if he is doing a big favor by selling the bike to you. Then when it breaks down, which it will sooner or later - the dealer will find your fault at everything, say that the broken part is not covered in warranty and charge you lots of money for it. TRUE STORY.
I agree with u completely. When in free service and warranty period, RE mechanics simply ignore to look into your complaints, once u are past your warranty period they will simply nail u on the head :banghead: Recently test drove my friend's zmr, he asked me to notice for vibrations. I didn't feel any, infact I told him that everything is perfect and engine is butter smooth. May be I have become numb to vibrations after years of bulleteering. The only vehicle on which I still feel the vibes is a 'tractor'. May b it's time they come up with a counterbalancer shaft for tractors.

Lol, The tractor comment was really funny bhai.
One of my friends have 350 classic. One day he took my R15 for a spin, The japnese tech made him speechless. The fuel injected engine, the brakes, the handling of delta box chassis. He used to say i should have bought a bullet instead of R15, after that day, he never said that again.
