Re: Choosing a Royal Enfield? Ask here...
The bullet bike has the most problem in the biking history but with the uce bullet they solve most of the problems.i will advice you to book and get the 350 more than enought for the city and hill areas excellent torque to help you with ease.mileage is also excellent 45kmpl on the highway and 36-40kmpl in the city.and the pleasure it gives not comparable to any other bike.

Re: Crank weight of new model RE Classic and Standard
I am planning to buy Royal Enfield. Last time i booked Classic 350 and i cancelled my booking because some of my friends said about the bad after sales service and motorcycle complaints and stuffs(Two of them couldn't ride their motorcycles after getting it and another friend had engine problems in his classic 350 ). Then my mind diverted to Duke 200 but each time an RE passes by, my heart just diverts back. Planning to book Classic 350 again but many people saying it has lots of complaints (I even witnessed one customer shouting to RE people that they used his ride which was given for servicing). Many are saying to take Standard 350 or 500. But i like the looks of classic more than standard (a personal choice). I TD Classic 350, CL500 and STD 500 today and i felt more comfortable with 350 (felt more vibes in STD 500 and CL500, may be because of the condition of TD motorcycle they gave me). Showrrom guy told CL500 is tough for the mechanics outside since it FI. (One thing i liked CL500 is that it has fuel meter but its inaccurate).
My needs are:
1) City riding(85% of a month) and weekends trips (may be long trip in near future
)
2) Comfort (Not opting for thunderbird since not my style).
3) Fuel Efficiency (Higher will be appreciated)
I want to know whether Classic 350 is more than enough (or should i go for CL500) and i have heard loys of complaints on that model even from showroom guys. Friends, what's your views?
And can i change the foot pegs and headlight of Classic to that of Thunderbird's?
Thanks in advance

Crank weight of new model RE Classic and Standard
Hi,
I Am Confused On Buying Which RE, A Clsssic 500 Or Std 350 Or Std 500. I Personally Like Heavy Crank Weight Bull. Does Any One Know The Exact Crank Weight Of New RE Classic And Standard Series(Both 350 And 500).
I Am Going To Use It For Touring Commuting, Mostly Touring.
Which One Should I Buy?
I read in some forums that Std 350 and classic 500 have the same crank weight, but classic 350 has lesser, in new models. But I'm not sure about it.
Please Share Your Thoughts.

Absolutely....well said buddy..:thumbup:Originally posted by Vykier View PostOne thing is... heavy or not... A bull is a bull... as in once you know its balance you can literally switch its back, its that good...
Also a bull is a bike that makes a professional out of a novice rider, apart from the classic novelty respect and value. If you own a bull I doubt you'll be saying that you aren't a tourer for too long. That bike will beg you to take her far out.

Well if you can handle some extra weight....go for the bull. Its worth it. All the best. So which model from the RE stable are you interested in, do get a look and see the reviews of all the models.

Hii anurag.....lets make it simple. All three are good bikes, but you should make a decision according to what exactly do you want from these machines. Commuting...touring...etc. Let me know...and then lets make the decision.Originally posted by Anurag0 View PostHey everyone,
