Hey, im a new Xbhpian, Will be booking the RE Bullet 500 shortly, but long waiting periods in Bangalore, 4 to 6 month even in the flagship showroom.!

Also any inputs, ownership reviews on the Bullet 500 would be appreciated!

Electric start doesbt come with std350. Well, it can be fitted later but it is a tedious job as said by svc guys.

Classic isnt actually a bullet. If you want electric start over the standard 350 then go with electra. Plus electra gets the disc brake. That is why the rate difference mainly.

Btw do you use it for city riding or highways mainly??

Hy guys i am looking to buy an royal enfield but the biggest problem i am facing in selecting is i the standard model but it dosent comes with electric start and if the engines are same then why the rate difference is so much in electra and classic plz suggest....

With regards to Bull-my pov has been very simple.

All him to test ride all the models. With one model he will feel great. Pay the money and walk away without thinking back again.

Its all about your heart with respect to your bull.

That totally depends on his style of liking IMO. Classic has more upright stance and TB has the unique butterfly handle bar. For me, Classic is more of a city rider going at 60kph, TB is more of a lone cruiser which likes highways.

Hi All,

I am very excited to let you all know that finally I have booked CL500 5 days back (almost all my friends were of the opinion that I should not go for CL500 instead I should choose CL350 but I have listened to my heart and booked CL500).........but I am confused regarding which color to opt for....I have selected CL black....because couple of my office colleague have the same black color and they say it is easier to maintain over longer period of time.........
Not sure about CLDS ...bcoz of the paint quality (I Have seen couple of DS and the paint quality was not good)...
Can anyone suggest how does the new CL Tan & CL Silver looks...............

My friend planned to buy RE Classic 350 and booked it sometime ago. We went to the showroom for normal status inquiry and we end up getting test ride for Continental GT. Sheer acceleration, awesome brakes and the thrill was enough to immediately transfer the booking amount to GT.

Now we are back to our senses : ) and we want to know :

* if this is good enough for long touring too ( My friend is 5'10-11' ) ?
* how it performs on areas like leh ladakh ?

Delivery will be in 5 days max.

Good to know that you are RE fan. To me , Cassic 350 is good looking among the ones you have mentioned in your list.

To answer your queries one by one

1. CLassic 350, to me CL500 for FI and Torque, since 350 is what you have listed, go for that. I also like the riding stance when seen from rear of the vehicle.
2. Nowadays the Waiting period is significantly reduced, You should be able to get yours in say 3 months .
3. INR 5000 is your initial booking charge and yes,
4. you can cancel anytime you want and the whole sum would be returned back to you without any charges taken
5. Downpayment is totally upon your loan tenure, may vary depending on the year and what is your loan amount you wish to take

Three months ago I booked RE STD 500. I will get my RE in another 2 weeks. But still I am in a confusion, did I choose the best RE model? Can you people help me to find the best RE?

When I was 12, I started riding bike. Now I am using my father's HH Passion Plus. My main use of a bike before 2 years was 7 km ride to my office. But for the past 2 years my priority changed, I started going for weekend bike trips once in every two months (Now its a must for me).Using my friend's ride during this journey. Now I think it is time for me to buy a new one. I believe RE is the only brand which produce motor cycle with in this price range with great comfort (I am not considering "avenger").

My need:
1) Comfort.
2) Easy to Maintain (I need my bike ready for ride at any time. Like Old RE I don't need surprise starting troubles, oil leaks etc. But I am ready for timely services.)
3) Fuel Efficiency (At least 30).
4) This should be my companion till my last bike trip.

Reason for ignoring other RE models :

RE 350 models - I need the best available so chose 500.
RE TB500 - Pillion Rider seat is so small, So my mom will struggle a lot. I am ready to reconsider this model if the comfort offered by this model is more than STD 500.
RE CL500 - 3 reasons
1) In may forum it is said that the seating position of CL is not best for long rides.
2) Fuel efficiency
3) Will EFI model last long?, will it be hard to find a mechanic who can fix engine trouble during my long ride. Also I am not expecting quick response from engine (My maximum speed on highways will be 60 KPH. Very dangerous rider..!!).The same doubt exists for TBT 500.

Finaly GT: Simple reason -Hate that riding position and will never enjoy speed...




Can you people tell we whether my choice was right? If not can you please tell me which to choose and why?

I would request your ideas in buying a Royal Enfield.

I have been using a Hero Honda Passion for 5 years from 2007 to 2012, post which my brother gave his Yamaha Fazer to me as he left to UK on a long official assignment. I was using Fazer from 2012 to date. My brother has returned from UK and he wants his Fazer back.

I wanted to buy a bike very soon and right from my childhood days I have been a great fan of the Royal Enfield bikes. Cannot think on any other bike other than RE but I have very short time to own one. I would like to buy a Bullet 350, Bullet Electra or Bullet Classic 350.

Here are my queries which I would request your help.

1. Which RE should I choose?
2. I require the bike in a short span. Which RE has short waiting period?
3. If I book for a bike how much do I need to buy during booking?
4. Once booking is done can I cancel the booking?
5. Will I be assisted in getting a loan for the bike and what will be the down payment & EMI?

Thanks Deep. But are you suggesting Standard 350 or the Classic 350? I know standard is the best but Classic wins my heart. But heard a lots of complaints on the Classic
