My opinion is is bullet standard 350 since you have long KM riding hence will give better avg. I did couple of modifications like RD kind handle bar and exhaust change but was preference. If avg doesn't matter then I feel standard bullet 500. I too feel the sitting is better and comfortable (no offense to anyone, just my preference). I see another benefit of you will own an oldest model running in the world [emoji6] . I own a 350 bullet, other than their normal hiccups of owning a RE in start. The performance is good otherwise.

Please note that a 350 standard doesn't have estart or front disk. But I have had no issues so far. Other owners must comment too about different models.

I had my bad experiences with tube bases tire hence planning to change to a tubeless. I wish to keep the old look but time constraints and experience pushed me on choosing a tubeless but otherwise tires will perform good.

Remember each RE or any bike has its own pro's and con's.

I love each one of them but it's like a marriage where you choose life partner who meets your need [emoji12] .

Again, this is completely my point of view. Do consider you comfort and experts views and make a call. That's what I did when choosing my bull.

Hi Guys..I am really confused between classic 500 ,classic 350 and bullet 500..
I have some queries...

1.heard after reading much reviews that the Fuel Injection pump is prone to failure ...suppose if it fails in the warranty period...will they replace it for free or will it cost me ??

2.I like the looks of the classic..that's why I've booked the CL350.. but I heard (again..from the reviews) that the seating of the bullet is better than that of the Classic..how true is that ??provided the classics have the springs for the rider..

3. My place of work is 150 km from him..so I intend to take a ride home and back ,once (or twice) every month...so which one would be better ??a 350 or a 500 ???

4.. I should not have taken the test ride of the 500s 😢.😢

Stock silencer doesn't have sufficient thump. That's why people opt for a change in silencers. You as a rider will hear it but very low.

Thanks bro for the info.j don't think I will be changing the silencer for atleast 1 year....by the way..i have never listened to the stock silencer...does it have an average thump ???? ie at least those who are riding on the bike could hear a thump ??( Even that would do for the initial stages...😉.have to learn more on the bike..then only will go with modifications. &#128522

Hi Nithish,

To answer your questions:

1. Yes you do have an option to change the silencer from the showroom itself during delivery. But i'd suggest you run-in the engine for 2000 kms before switching silencers.
2. Warranty "officially" I think will be void as you have made modifications. But if and when you have to claim warranty, just plonk in the stock silencer and go to the service center.
3. It definitely will cost you. Showrooms don't buy-back your stock silencer.
4. Best for thump n not so loud silencer is definitely the Goldstar with glasswool. If you want thump like old bullets, go for the Indori short bottle with glasswool.

I'm a new xBHP Ian..have booked CL350 Ash....im still in confusion between 350cc and 500cc.however,my doubt is on the exhaust (for now)..
1. do we have the option to change the stock exhaust to the Indore or upswept ones....??

2. If yes , will the warranty be still intact ???
3. If yes, will it cost me more..ie are we buying an extra exhaust or are we exchanging ???

4. If yes....😉 which one has the nicest thump ???(it need not be the loudest)

I got the Royal Enfield Desert Storm delivered on 9th June 2015, just after a month from booking date 08 May 2015.

Cost 191169 + 1000 ( Leg Guard ) + 950 ( License Plate ) = 193119

The bike assigned to me had a small problem, the hand brake didn't light up the read red light, so the guy took it to the service center to get it fixed. No other problems.

I had a similar situation and I went for RE standard 350.
I wanted to buy classic then I thought why not standard.
This is my point of view why i finally choose std 350.
1. Classic and TB are all over the road and new std is rare at least in Mumbai.
2. Comfort for rider is very nice.
3. Back is also comfortable as per my wife.
4. You get the retro look along with new UCE engine.
5. Crank is good as 500 so why not.
6. Pickup is awesome.

The drum brakes is not your usual one they are bigger in size and many praise this brakes.
Remember those days when bullets only ran on drums.
What I heard but not experienced is as time goes by the brakes get more effective and at a point where much powerful then disc.
I just completed 2500 with Mumbai traffic and it does work fine.
Need to test in rains which should be starting soon.
Has great pickup and what I observed the heavier the bike gets the heavenly ride you experience.

For a coincidence... I sold tb for lot is issues then switched to NS and back to RE.

Guys would need some feedback on choosing a RE. I used to have a TB AVL for 5 years. Had sold it off because of constant issues with the AVL engine. My current ride is a 3 year old P220. I am planning to buy a RE again, however there are a couple of dilemmas.
1. Budget - I still have 30k left on the loan of my P220. Frankly speaking I do not have the budget to buy a RE, however have decided to go for one. Am looking at Standard 350. Its the lowest in the price range.
2. I travel on a daily basis 150 kms to and back from work from Greater Noida to Gurgaon roundtrip. It involves 70% highway and 30% city through extensive office traffic. I am used to the double disk braking of my P220. My concern is Standard 350 has drum brakes upfront. What is the feedback on the braking. I do encounter some emergency braking situations. Are the drum brakes sufficient considering a speed of 70 kmph and the weight of the bike.
3. I do trip extensively in the hills with pillion and luggage. Would have loved to go for the 500 but cannot because of the budget. My finances would not improve since have a home loan on my head. My pillion is my wifey and a lot of luggage. Do miss the torque of the bull in the hills which is not there on my 220. How would be the pillion comfort. Wifey is still spoilt with the TB Backrest and is not comfortable on the 220.
Have a cheeky thought of getting a personal loan and purchasing it.
Lastly which model in Delhi has the lowest waiting period.

I was asked the dp when the bike got allotted to me. It had reached the dealer but I went by verbal assurance since right after dp they gave me receipt. So at least sooner or later I will get it.

Just took the delivery of a tbird 350. The dealer told me I had to pay full amt only after the lot arrives at the dealership. Same case for every dealer in Pune.

Any help guys??? Does it make sense to do the down payment before the bike has reached dealer, only on the basis of assurance of dealer regarding delivery? Or is this how RE dealers work??
