Do you know anyone in Honda who can help me get the bike a little early?
By visiting multiple showroom you can get lucky to get the bike with less waiting period.

Regarding the showroom bluffing, it's the tactics that mostly everyone follows, especially when the customer asks for a specific model. You can find many post in CBR 250R ownership thread that the Honda showroom guys are happy with selling Activa's than CBR's. So visiting different showrooms will definitely help you with a smoother purchase.

I think the dealer is correct when he says "we only make bikes as per the demand". As per reports both the baby CBR is least selling motorcycles in India, could be possible that Honda is using CBR factory line to manufacture Navi *just trolling*
3 months is really too long.
I'll tell you another thing. If someone wants to buy any RE over here (Mumbai), the dealer says a waiting period of 6 months and when you show a little money, the waiting time automatic goes down.
But if you "know the inside people" you can get it in 15 days.
That's what actually happened when my friend booked his C350.
A little bit of "Jaan pehchan" and the bike was surprisingly available in 15 days instead of 6 months.
So moral of the story, Never trust those dealers.

The same thing happened with me ! When I was going to buy my Honda DIO the waiting period was almost 7 months. I was so pissed that I ended up booking the bike in sangli. Got it in one week.

I checked price from Honda two wheeler website. It was 2.25L OTR for Mumbai. Price could not be accurate but it could give you an idea. Waiting period is high because of low demand of CBR in these days, dealers doesn't want to block up their money.

REs are somehow speeding up the delivery process. I too experienced the same thing (In HYD) , got delivery under 20 days with no Greasing/Influence. I think they understood that the customer may change his mind the longer they make him wait .

(on a lighter note) Just realised how odd it sounds when they say , the bike's 'Definitely Male'. The rider would be like, 'Whaaaat!? I've been riding a male?!?! '

Japanese, other models except Indian models will cost you roughly around 2L for 200cc. ABS version will demand a higher price. Due to availability of alike models in the market, manufacturer tag Should be of least worry. It's advisable that you visit every showroom in Mumbai, Panvel, Thane, get to know various models, price, test ride do homework and than put the things to forum for help rather than selecting bike on paper reviews.

Go for non ABS. And practise braking at high speeds when the road is empty. It helps.

Go here: Colors | CBR 250R
Also go through posts of Zeeshan in this thread and you'll fall in love with the Pearl White. (Black is ruined by those Golden Blingy Decals and Red is well, too Red)
Cost of CBR 250R - Its 2.10 Lakhs for the STD ABS here in Mumbai. So the price you're talking about must be of the Repsol Edition.
Also there's no issue of colors if you go with the Repsol Edition
No, not Repsol edition. This is the price for Red color ABS version and looking at Mumbai prices now, I think CBR 250 ABS prices have increased. In any case, I am not booking CBR 250 unless they decide to update/upgrade it. Let me not hijack this thread from the OP. :-)

Me personally,I wouldn't.There aren't made of very good quality parts and its upto how the owner decides to maintain the bikes,I've seen pristine quality First Gen Pulsars still running whereas in the same Time,I've seen year old 220F and AS200 with fairing rattling, parts rusting and Oil leak on head.In Chennai,I see tons of Pulsars leaking oil and Blown Heads, misfiring.Comparatively bad Dukes too. This is because Bajaj makes KTM Bikes. The Kratos 400 is confirmed to borrow the Engine from KTM Duke 390 and RC 390,The 375cc Engine,Known to have troubles like Overheating.etc.I also expect Fairing Rattles to come as an additional feature with the Kratos [emoji23]

I prefer TVS over Bajaj.I would say,Do keep an eye out for the TVS-BMW G310R

                      I would say,Go for the Honda 250R ABS.Reasons would be that it's a proven bike.Well refined.Awesome power and gearbox.Got dual channel ABS
                      Pretty fantastic bike

And if you feel guilty when you see a Kratos after you buy the CBR,Just think like this 'I'm on a Honda. They're on a Bajaj' I guess that will be enough to differentiate [emoji23]
