Your heart lies with pulsar dude(Going by your posts
)...hence no point in taking a test ride of A180...you will end up finding issues only...moreover you said you want a comfy ride...A180 would satisfy you only if you are concerned with the three letters('R' 'T' 'R' Racing Throttle Response
)...If looking for a gentle ride Pulsar would suit you...
...Back to HIBERNATE mode...

id say RTR all the way!pretty much every aspect of the bike is superior to the pulsar.Smoke rubber, not tobacco.

Hmm..I will visit Cochin for a Test Ride for Apache 180.No Hope in my nearest TVS Dealer.Few questions regarding TVS service will need to be answered(by the dealer!).
BTW Guys ,Can I bargain for 1-2K discount for new bike?
I had owned the predecessor of Apache160, Suzuki Fiero from 2002 february brand new.It was a great ride.
Oh man!that video is inspiring!Originally posted by blisteringintelligence View PostRTR180 is kick a$$...... just go for it.

(In orkut ,p180 fans questions whether it is Apache180!as I posted this video.)
I would have ripped the bikes.but the irresponsible dealers in small towns(they are main dealers, not sub dealers!!!) gives brand new bikes with speedo cable detached for test ride instead of a proper test ride bike registered.Originally posted by outworldly maniac View Posttest drive the RTR 180 ... and rip it till top... dont worry even if the guy sitting behind you says no ...
then you ll get to know that the vibs are bearable by you or not ..
some people say vibes keep them awake ... and give them a feel of power ... etc and some hate those vibrations ....
so i guess it depends on you
best of luck
I will not take the Ghor Paap of playing with someone else's future bike?

Cornering of this bike is really awesome. But yes, Manan was easily crossing 80 where the tarmac was gripping at the corners. Else, if the tarmac is uneven, it is not advisable to cross 70, at least for people who have families and a son to come home to!Originally posted by pads View Postthe cornering of the bike seems good....... but they were hardly crossing 70......... even on this beautiful stretch of road.......
Agree with almost everything that you say... it is sportier and with better handling. When there were no crosswinds, Manan could cruise at 120kmph. I do not about the rev limiter though.Originally posted by Anjit_Sharma View Postthis is the toughest what bike question i seen...
both have best features and VFM,
RTR has some vibe issues but owners says it gives Feel of Power,
with RTR you can easily get 130+ (manan sir got it during tour with ken sir),
i test rode both some time ago, and RtR felt a bit more sportier, and flickeble..
I would suggest you RTR...
see what other member says
EDIT: with RTR you can enjoy Rev free ride as it has No Rev limiter,
you can rev engine upto 12000 rpm..
Yes it does!Originally posted by blisteringintelligence View PostImagine what is it capable of on straight roads. The same RTR180 was with us on a short manesar trip sometime back and believe me it just flies
However, I would also like to add that the RTR is definitely not comfortable on even moderately bad roads. I own a clip on Pulsar as well. It is definitely more comfortable on bad stretches. But its handling is nowhere even close to that of the RTR!The Wheel was a great invention; Two Wheels with a Motor in between was even better!

Flickability wise, the RTR rocks. If you are looking for some spirited riding, there lies the answer!
If not, the P180 is very tempting too, with the 220 clip-ons&forks, split seat et.all. I think it has a 120 section rear too, not sure though.
Considering your weight, I think you would look better on the P.
Maintenance is more art than science, if you get my hint!

I did the test drive of a rtr160 last month. 180 was not in showroom then dunno about now. performance and handling wise, the RTR180 should be way better than the p180.
If you are planning to keep your bike for a wile, I think the p180 would be a safer option here in kerala especially around your place considering the roads and spares availability.
In the end, It's always your call. we can suggest, we can help and we can mislead
