If you are planning to keep your bike for a wile, I think the p180 would be a safer option here in kerala especially around your place considering the roads and spares availability.

@Binoy: Dear ,P220 is a Overkill for me.I am not into racing ,but prefers a powerful(in Indian terms!) bike which Pulsar 180 or may be Apache 180 is catering fine. P220 DTS-i is awesome loot maal offer for 82K onroad- I agree!

^For my weight ,RE Bullet is the perfect one .any ways ,considering service issues and all ,P180 or Apache180 is what I am restricting the choice into.

Just found that you've fixed on p180. good choice
About the dealers, Here in kochi, popular is the most popular.
I do not know how the sub branches / dealer works.
I've taken my bike for service to popular elamkulam (Near the old maruti driving school), RF bajaj, mamangalam, deedi bajaj, trivandrum, and another popular near cemetry mukku (where they do accident cases and insurance claims). The best service was fro the trivandrum centre and the worst was in the place mentioned last.

This might be stupid but I don't remember correcty but I thought bikes have to be registered on purchase. ie by the dealer or something similar. so your's should be somewhere under muvattupuzha rto. (or is that a stupid statement?)

Man how can you compare RTR180, its one of the two most Ingenious bikes India had ever seen, other one being the Fastest Indian, P220.

I think RTR180 has the best handling among all present "Indian" bikes.

I am more confused after seeing apache 180 in dealership.I liked it,but felt as a small bike compared to pulsar 180.So,Please- I have not yet finalized my purchase.

Apache 180 is not available with main dealers near my town.only in kochi or Aluva dealerships that I can get Apache delivery as of now.Pulsar 180 or Apache 180.I felt Apache Smaller.

I went to the near by dealer and they showed me a apache 180 came for first service and I liked the bike, except for that tank painting. No Test rides available yet!

Bikes can be temperary registered for one week or so and can be renewed for so many months(I won't!).For Me ,Bike needs to be registered under Muvattupuzha RTO(KL-17).

Hei prakash u own a P180 before, rite... then y u going for the same P180 again??? As u said before u r not a racer and P220 is not needed, i don't agree with u, coz in the case of R15 if you said this i would probly say...YEP... it's more onto that... but P220 is an awesome bike yaar when compared to P180(if i would have been i would go for a P220)... if P220 is not in your list.... ok leave that...

compared to P180 and A180... i would suggest u a A180, even though i don't have a TD on both... A lil bit grunty engine is my choice... and it's up to you... anyways both are good... just go for it pal...

I Decided the Bike- RTR 180!

                          Salaam Guys,
I almost decided Apache RTR 180 now after yesterday's visit to various TVS Showrooms.I may buy Today(26th) the Bike.
                          Few doubts:
1)Although I liked White Colour ,Black Appeals me More!Showroom Guys got White and Black Colours only. Please Recommend.
2)I understand that Apache RTR 180 doesnot comes with DC Lighting unlike P180.I do ride during night times.Any Modification I can do(LATER) to achieve Good Lighting?
3)Spare Parts are definitely costlier for TVS bikes.but I hope this means better quality.Affirmative?
4)Vibration-I have to Live with it?and Petrol? Standard petrol is OK?

5)Finally,Is there anything I have to get from the Dealer along with the bike-Recommend Me Like... Teflon Coating ,Bardhal treatment etc etc or any Additional Buy including which Helmet Lock options.

chetta first congrats for choosing apache RTR180...i personally like the white it stands out well away from rest of the apaches considerd with similar styling...normal petrol will do, no need for going extrapremium for her here..i dont think the spare parts for tvs is that costly compared to yamaha and to an extend honda & bajaj..vibration is a part and parcel of bikes but its reduced compared to the previous versions ...dont know about the Dc though...Teflon coating would be very nice if you can get it done....
                            cheers

P180, having DC lighting would have easily supported HIDs which would not be the case for A180.

3)Spare Parts are definitely costlier for TVS bikes.but I hope this means better quality.Affirmative?

Both bikes have more or less similar parts quality.

4)Vibration-I have to Live with it?and Petrol? Standard petrol is OK?

Yeah, you will have to live with it. But, you will get used to it.
