    3] CBZ Extreme

    4] Pulsar 180

WOW !!! wish all women were like you

From your given List the Pulsar 180 seems the best choice and has all your requirements or If you can spend more money than you cant go wrong with the P220 .

        Hi,

The GS150 suits most of your requirements. Even the CBZ X does so but as a personal choice i would prefer the GS over the CBZ. keeping pillion comfort in mind, the RTR and P180 are not very comfortable in that area. Though your fiance might want to upgrade to a more powerful bike(in comparison to what he has currently), in that case the P180 or RTR 180 would suit his liking. Take my word enthusiasts never crib about low mileage when they get decent power in return .
best of luck for your purchase and keep everyone posted on your final decision
You can take the ride away from me but you cannot take the rider out of my soul.........

Pillion comfort of all the bikes mentioned in your list, CBZ Xtreme has the best.

But since, your fiance already rides a 150cc, Other 150cc's wont make any logical sense. So better go for higher CC bikes like RTR180 or P180 (both arent great for pillion comfort) but make a proper proper upgrade over 150cc.

            2008 - Yamaha YZF R15

              .

              1] Apache RTR 160
would be a good upgrade from p150 is power and performance is concerned. comfort wise is might lack a bit due to the sporty riding position

              2] Suzuki GS150R
power wise, it will be a downgrade from pulsar 150. mileage and commuting, it scores! it is almost same as the unicorn except the 6th gear.
as you ruled out unicorn, i guess this will not be good option

              3] CBZ Extreme
p150 to cbz extreme is neither an upgrade nor a downgrade.

              4] Pulsar 180
he has used pulsar 150 for 3 years! so pulsar again?

              Shilpi[/QUOTE]
other than these, i would suggest u consider rtr 180 and pulsar 220. though p220 would be on the higher side of the cost. i would vote for rtr 180

As you said he's a enthusiast and already owns a P150, i don't think he would settle for anything sub-200cc...Just stretch your budget a bit and blow him away with a Pulsar 220(mark my words...his expression would be )

Among the choices you mentioned : Pulsar 180 would be best VFM...

keeping the comfort factor(along with the other requirements as well) in mind; my opinion would be either the GS150 or the CBX-X.
                  Good luck!

EDIT: Or you could go with the suggestion of 'happybiking' i totally agree with him.

Hi there, first of all your fiancee must be desperately needing a power upgrade, and as you said he's a bike enthusiast, the bike perfectly suiting your needs would not be RTR 160 but RTR 180, the bike is stable at high speeds and in corners and in bumpy roads cos of wider 17 inch tyres, the bike is very comfortable to ride for hours on end, it gives a mileage of around 46 kmpl and it perfectly fits your budget. And i would suggest a colour too..White...looks awesome...And do post your final choice...

Dont buy the GS 150 R ... only some of these bikes are clean otherwise all have problems of rust or some other problem . Check the GSR thread to know more.
( my opinion and no offense to anyone .... )

Agree with happy biking and Riaz .
CBZ-X will be the best buy among all If u want a 150cc.
New pulsar has stiff suspension so doubt whether it will give good pillion comfort on both on tarmac and off roads .

Why not go ahead and buy the karizma .
I know its 10 k above budget but neither he or u will ever regret it .
Only needs better lighting ... u can put a good bulb or HID.

                      Cheers ...
Best of luck to you and your lucky fiance.

since he has ridden a 150cc bike all this while,it's wise to move up the cc ladder....My vote goes for the RTR180,an awesome VFM buy.Should cost you a couple of grand dearer than 70k.Pillion comfort is sadly not that great in either of the 180cc bikes but RTRs seat is a tad better...IMO,it makes more sense and I'm sure he'll be more than happy with it...Lucky chap
It all begins with a thumb-start -- Oh, wait, I forgot the kill-switch

Great that u too have shown interest in bikes and keen on buyin 1 for ur fiance.

Get an RTR 180 , its value for Money.
Its a change from a pulsar , Good power , pretty comfortable , Sporty , mileage is about 40.
                          White looks amazing (personal opinion)
                          Gets a rear disc brake.

All the best & do let us know what u decide .

Your fiance is a lucky guy

From your list of options, giving consideration to your set parameters .... P180 (Pulsar 180) seems to be the best option.

An honest suggestion would be to upgrade to Pulsar 220 DTS-I or the HH Karizma. Both these bikes match your requirements. Although the Pulsar would be a better option, returns more miles per litre of fuel, looks good good features and its comfortable. Spares in the long run will work out to be cheaper than Karizma. As far as the pricing goes you might have to shell out another 10000rs to get the P220 i guess depending on your location.

Anyway, good luck with the decision and i'm sure whatever you gift him, the thought of doing something for him, for his passion will blow his mind! :P Also pls do let us know about the bike you decided to buy.

                            Cheers!

                              Okay!
Here, watchin the (pretty long) list and summarizing it to few words brings me to the fact that ur actually looking for a VMF tourer with good power n mileage figures plus Hot looks.
That meant u both are much into touring with minimal use in city riding.

Remember, as biking is still a rocket science to you more or less to insted of explaining you all cons and pros technically I would just try to keep it short n explain them in simplest way.
