well based on his requirements and his personal choice... the P180 seems to be the one that fits the bill.

I'd say prolly consider the Apache RTR too... but based on riding both bikes... and having owned a P180 UGIII for 3 years now... i'd recommend the P18O.

and if he can move his budget to 65 grand + another 7 grand... the P200.

^^^^ P200 stopped selling a long time back.. I see the P180 as the best possible alternative because, somehow, i dont like the RTR under a 6 feet tall person.

FZ-16 will be too low on mileage.

          Stunner.. really?

@Ace: It's pretty simple, really. Between the P180 and the Apache 180 FI, I woul definitely go with the Apache 180.

And if you want to let him go with your choices, my choice would be the FZ16 purely because of the spectacular international looks, which I am sure he would LOVE to show-off as a college student. But, like antz.bin said above, the mileage of the FZ16 could be a factor; in that case the CBF Stunner 125 would be a good option, albeit at a loss of power.

P.S: The Fazer (faired one) is also a GREAT looker, in my humble opinion. Do ask him to consider it as well.

Stunner is his last option IF his parents reject for a bigger bike above 150cc

The Fazer is going beyond his budget & his family is a fan of TVS

@ All: Would you guys recommend Apache RTR 160 Fi ?

i would choose the RTR180 over the p180 as well. but AFAIK neither of two 180s will return 45+ kmpl unless ridden extremely uncle-ish (u know what i mean). neither will the FZ.

as per his requirements and budget p180 suits him well, as new p180 has good looks, BUT the only one problem can be that it may not be so comfortable as the bikes like Unicorn and Stunner.
The best suited bike for comfort are Honda Unicorn, Shine and Stunner.

                        For Power-Uni
                        For looks-Stunner
                        For Mileage-Shine
I dont sit ON my bike, I sit INside it.!

                          @all..
Stick to the listed bikes please!

                          And welcome to xbhp mate.

A colleage student or MnC PROFFESIONAL, anyone, needs and wants a Allrounder!!
So go for a all rounder.

Fz [fazer, fZ16, fzs]- are good, great, awsum but finally no one of them will return you 40+ kmpl.

                          Apache180- superb in one word.
Better than P180, but, it will return you 45+ kmpl only when you drive it SANELY, very sanely.
If he's thin looking then height isnt a factor with A180.

                          Pulsar180ug4- great bike!
But it will not return you 45+kmpl anyhow!! Height isnt a problem with Pulsars.

                          Rest upto you..
                          Shanz

For some one 6 Feet tall, I will say go for Pulsar 180,
                              I am 5feet 10 Inch and I bought My P180 20 days Back.

I bought it after test riding both A180 and P180.

No doubt A180 in a bit more powerful bike with rear disk.

But I was a bit uncomfortable with riding poisture, and new P180 is far more good looker than Apache but thats just me.

The only problem in number of Pulsars on the road, Get a unique color like Blue and you will have your distinct identity on the road as well

Tell him to test ride both the bikes and he will know himself, coz the moment I sat on P180 I knew that yes, she is the one
No Matter Whether Guys buy 220cc Pulsars or 350cc Royal Enfields,
It is used only to follow a 80cc Scooty Pep...
