my suggestion would be a FZ 16 or the p180.. since both these bikes return almost the same mileage there is no issue of mileage here.. if he is going to collage then then FZ would be more stylish with its naked looks and also the P180 seems a bit more common now a days.

ask him to ride both P180 and A180 for checking the sitting comfort(considering he's a tall guy)...about performance need I say which one's better ???

If not the 220 its A180 all the way...best of luck!!!

@thechamp : loved your signature bro

P.S: I usually see everyone talking about sitting position being a problem with the apaches. But it has got adjustable clip-ons. So, I guess one can adjust it as per his need.

            Best picks : Stunner/Hunk/Xtreme/Unicorn

@ace : Suggest him Stunner carb version. Other bikes could be Hunk and Xtreme which are stylish and gives fuel efficiency of 45+kmpl easily. Unicorn ofcourse is the best alrounder (if he likes it).

out of the bikes listed, im sure the stunner and the P180 will be the most common bikes to be seen. So i would want a little break from the mould and have a different looking bike, and the RTR 180 would be that for me. including great performance and good looks, its a great package.

My offerings to the gods of speed -

              - KTM Duke 200
              - Yamaha RXZ 5 speed

Since he is not interested in touring, and wants it only for city rides, the choices from the lot would be in the order of preference as below

                1. A180 - Good power, flickability and also the seating posture would not be very uncomfortable for city rides. Mileage as others have commented can be a bit of a concern if not driven sanely. Exclusivity factor will also play in favor of A180 with the pearl white color.

                2. FZ16 - Very different looking bike from the shortlisted bikes. Though I personally dont like the looks, its definitely different & many like the looks. Its also built to very high standards. But the feedback about mileage is not very positive on the forum as well as a few owners whom i know.

                3. P180 - Proven steed with minor modifications/improvement but still not as sweet handling as the A180 when compared.

@All: Yesterday he buzzed me for the bike discussion more than 15 min we talk,he said he won't be going for a commuter bike like Honda bikes(uni & shine, stunner looks different than these two) HH Bikes(Hunk,cbz-xtreame)
because he didn't like these type of bikes,he wants a sporty looking bike(not r15) like an all rounder so here is the final list he said to me

                  1: P180(BIG NO to P220-carb)
2: A160(carb & might get with rear disc version)
                  3: Fz-16 or FZ-S(BIG NO to Fazer)
4: Cbf stunner(carb)-IF his parents rejects the above bikes this bike his only hope

                  Budget-65k(may extend to 5k extra)

So guys please see the list & help him & also mention the + & - of these bikes

Why not consider GS150? Seems fitting well to his requirements.

dude IMHO i say you should just go for the FZ16.. it fits your budget, is a great all rounder bike and as far as i know there are minimal problems with that machine.. if your hesitation is about the average.. then trust me the bike sure gives you a decent average of 45 for sure minimum.. check out the ownership thread of the FZ for clearing your doubts.

A 160 carb, heard that there are few probs like vibrations and all, though a 160 fi and a180 are doing well,
Fz- personally dont like its shape, though a good bike for city riding
Stunner carb- diff. Segment, go for it only if its the last option
                              And the last
P180 - took a ride few days back, believe me its the best package
Decent mileage, nice looks, quite stable
Overall VFM, and suits your bro's budget
                              All the very best
