The above is my perception and opinion.

P220 at 125 kmph means the Speedo shows around 135 kmph. Going to true 145 kmph takes very very long time if at all it goes. The engine is not definitely comfortable at those speeds for long time.
I respect the word safety. But there are roads where higher speeds can be done with safety kept in mind. I was getting bored of 135 kmph (already got bored of lower speeds) while coming to hyd from kurnool & then i felt the need for a faster vehicle.
I never said zma is waste.
Any bike which can cruise at 100 kmph is good but a bike which can occasionally do higher speeds would be better!

    Dont agree.
The R15 is a great bike. But there are a few things which could have been improved. More is never enough!

    Iam inclined towards R15.

      • Snappy I love your decision picking R15, I would suggest to choose between Impact yellow or Sunset Red

        • Yellow looks eye candy.
If i were u & had enough moolah i would have bought any color & painted it to white with YZF R15 logos here & there.

Out of the above 2, the karizma zma and zmr are both good..
Both the r15 and p220 are performance monsters and will be great only on rides upto around 100km or so. after that the strains from the riding position would kick in

But I too own a fz16. Have u tried a highway cruising on it. I drove a maximum of 120km in a stretch and still didn't have any stress. You can cruise at around 50-65 in the highway and even expect a mileage of 45-50 in them.
                  Reduce 1 km/hr speed, add 1second 2 ur life.

                    • I did 540 kms.in a single day&the guy who has posted above mine has done equal or even more. We both never had any sort of pain.
Please post such things only if you have tried out both the bikes extensively, else restrict the comment to yourself, don't generalize.
You know, its never wrong to say I THINK, or I FEEL so.

                      • Just for commuting any bike will do. Depends on what will be your cruising speed. AFAIK, If you want to cruise above 10 hours a day & on triple digit speed, then go for a bit high performance bike which can take this strain easily. i.e. P220, ZMR/ZMA-R, R15, even I guess RTR 180 will do happily. All depends on which riding style you like.
And about doing kms in a day, people have done even 1500 kms or more in 24 hours.
I have done 800kms in 18 hours.. tried & tested..!! Thats just the potential of a bike & biker.

                          Not the zmr.

Yes its a boring bike , But nothing that beats it when u utter the word "Highway"

Adequate torque to overtake , lovely handler , relaxed long stroke engine.

Factually , a short stroke single cylinder is never good for touring .

a bike being ridden at 9500-10000 (with redline as 10.5)rpm is not called touring .Its called torture.

We have adapted ourselves since we have no choice (ex Pulsar/R15/RTR).

TS- If u ever change ur mind , dont look beyond the Zma.U ll never regret
                          Santa
When you are doing between 9500-10000 at 6 gear on R-15, you better check your meter, you are already doing 135+.
