Contrary to the opinion, nothing shall happen with any well maintained motorcycle for 5 years, be it from any manufacturer

    Thrills and Speed-P135 LS
well, i can't see myself recommending the Stunner, would rather vote for Gladiator type RS, but that is me, would request the thread starter to test-ride and decide

      STUNNER:
Stunner is quite short geared resulting in irritating vibrations at high rpms/speeds, even though it shouldn't be 'cause the engine is very smooth otherwise. Infact, Stunner FI is extremely smooth at hight rpms/speeds as well, thanks to FI and also due to changed gearing. But Stunner FI is quite expensive. And the performance gain in FI is only competitive enough! And Stunner (non FI) has quite disappointing performance overall. Otherwise, looks are stunning! handling is very neutral, balanced, comfortable ergonomics, slightly rear set foot pegs and legendary Honda reliability.

      PULSAR 135:
Pulsar 135 is a very good all-rounder in its category. Its a breath of fresh with some very good styling. Its a pulsar with a different fuel tank!! and the bike overall looks actually better than other pulsars!! Only eye sore is the rear tyre mudguard!!

Only pulsar with a completely new chassis (single downtube, engine as a stressed member similar to Karizma, xtreme etc.). This chassis design is much better than all other pulsar chassis' where there are two downtubes going underneath the engine. New pulsar 135 has been claimed to be the best handling pulsar yet!!! which is a good news 'cause otherwise pulsars, even though good handlers, handles worst in their respective categories!! But I think Stunner is considered slightly better handler overall. You have to find it out for yourself!!!

Performance of P135 is class defying, it beats even some 150cc bikes in overall performane!! It is very light (Light Sports), i think its 122kgs. And it is very thin!!!

Engine is again brand new considering its a pulsar. 4 valves, main reason for that performance!! Very competitive fuel effifiency. Can be considered more VFM than Stunner depending on your requirements! And I would like to believe that the reliability should be good enough!

Give it a thought, ride'em and decide

      PS - I own a Bullet Electra 5S

P.S- please dont give a lame reason for that .

Thread Starter : P135 all the way if you want FUN while your riding.
it can survive undoubtedly if we maintain it properly... in stunner maintainence will be less

i guess you should write this in your earlier post then .
and YES i agree with you .... that mainainence will be LESS in honda but the owner sure misses out on power and fun part.

its upto people whether they want a good smooth engine or more powerful torquey one.
7 out of 10 times powerful torquey wins as we the people in india want more in less money read VFM.

P.S- any machine well maintained can SURELY serve for 5 years minimum.
and any machine which is not mainitained properly will pose problems in its near future.
Not only PULSARS but any bike can cause problems to the owner if not maintained properly.
          peace.

My vote would be for Pulsar 135 LS.. I was in the same situation.. you can easily guess that now I own P135. It's simply too much for 60k!!

              My freind

I am 5.10 & I have had a TD of P135, belive me it looks puny for my height.. Although it is very light & nimble thier is no much power below 5k rpm which sometimes doesnt really help in the city.

Now coming to Stunner - Its a very good bike, big bike feel & has good low end punch & makes it easier to ride in city.

My Verdict - If you are speed enthusiast & likes revving the bike till redline, make no mistake go for P135 or if you like relaxed riding with big bike feel go with stunner.

You will have the answer with in you..

Why people think pulsar is a bad motorcycle and can not last for even 3 years?
I know people who claims there pulsar only lasted for 2 years!!
Just watch there riding style they ride there motorcycles as its a 50cc
Or behave like they have a super bike!
                And not even maintain them!
I hate these kind of people, who don't know how to ride and blame it on their vehicles.

no body here is saying pulsar is bad,but there is evident difference in quality of honda n bajaj.no matter how the bike is mentained stunner wud last more than the pulsar n i m also 5'9" n felt very uncomfortable n cramped on the p135.76 kms on p135 for a guy of this hieght 6 days a week might become too tiring, stunner would give him a comfortable riding position n also peaceful ride because of its smoothness.

The main disaadvantage of Bajaj bikes are that ,you never know whether the bike will be available in the market after 2 years. Specially it happens sub < 150 cc range.

Again stunner engine is much more refined than pulsar 135LS.But the later is a perfect VFM.

So, just Listen to your heart and buy the bike u are comfortable with.As of me both bikes are GOOD with very little advantage over other.

Bro... 5'10" here.. and 1000km on p135.. never felt cramped on it.. with pretty good knee recess it's comfier than bigger pulsars. In fact.. I feel people over here are comparing P135 with Stunner, which is not fair. I was doing the same.. then I wondered...would I buy P150 at 60k?? (I mean on most parameters p135 is on par and better than most 150cc bikes, leave alone poor stunner.. relaxed & refined engine can be attributed to splendor as well.. oops!!).. and my confusion vanished just like that into thin air. This bike needs a different riding style.. similar to that of R15.. need to rev it hard and that's exactly the fun part about this baby pulsar and I'm loving it

When somebody of your hight is complaining about comfort on P135, you have to consider his opinion too, and your experience is not the ultimate. You can just give your opinion, but not question others opinions. Ultimately, the thread starter will decide based on the test ride which one is good.

There is nothing that a P135 shoud not be compared with a Stunner. People consider different options based on their likings and needs. The question of whether to buy a P135 or Stunner obviously a valid one.

Considering the Bajaj's reputation, I would not advise a P135 until reliability is established over an year period. I agree that it is a performer and VFM product, but reliability needs to be established, that too with new 4-valve technology. I have seen leaking oil seals on new P135s and I have seen quite a few.

If you say a Stunner is poor, all the owners with a P180, P220, Karimza, RTR180 would say a P135 is puny and poor. Stop ridiculing bikes just for the sake of it; if there are negatives that you feel, you can list them.

i agree with ravi bhai.....since you are a college going student and obviously you will have no time for sorting out daily niggles of pulsar,i advise you to go ahead with the stunner..it looks big, feels big and is awesome to look at.decent mileage too....only compromise is the power of p135.but yes, bajaj parts though we take care of the bike like a baby are bound to go kaput any time...

                              Pulsar 135 for sure.

Everyone complaining about reliability issues here are mostly who haven't owned a Pulsar before or the ones who doesn't maintain/care his bike. I own a Pulsar for 6 years now. I am hardcore fan of Pulsar now because I have been so happy with it and it had never given me issues. Which has made me recommend anyone about it.

For 4 years people saying that Pulsar 135 a 'No' is a big JOKE.

It is a big JOKE that you feel yours is the only Pulsar in the world. Do not look at just your bike; if you do not know, just go to any local mechanic and enquire.

I agree that the first generation P150 is a reliable machine.

If you feel that Bajaj is reliable, I will respect your opinion. At the same time, you have to respect ohter's opinions too based on their experiences. You can say P135 is reliable, but do not question other's opinions.
