I reached ahmedabad on bike yesterday...was as usual amazing ride. :-)
I am looking for a yahama service center, need to get bike checked for few things. Any pointers for same? I live in chandkhedha, so closer would be better

This is the Trip route

Day 1
Ahmedabad - Palanpur - Deesa - Tharad / Dhanera - Sanchor - Haliwaw - Barmer - Nimbla - Jaisalmer
OR
Ahmedabad - Mehsana - Patan - Deesa - Tharad / Dhanera - Sanchor - Haliwaw - Barmer - Nimbla - Jaisalmer Only if we can reach Patan after 8 AM so we can meet Maitray else we move on.

550 / 600 Km

I prefer the Deesa - Tharad - Sanchor route as its in much better shape.



Day 2 Sight Seeing Jaisalmer

Late Evening Jaisalmer - Pokhran - Jodhpur

280/300 Km


There are also suggestions from Akkshay to skip Jodhpur and rather go to Udaipur, we will see once we reach Jaisalmer what to do.

Day 3 Jodhpur Sight seeing
Jodhpur - Pali - Falna - Pindwara - Mt Abu
270/300Km


Day 4 Mt. Abu Sight Seeing

Late evening Rip Back to Ahmedabad.

250 Km

Very true ashik. Rides are more important than g2gs because i think rides gives more exposure as well as the experience to the riders to understand the bike as well as the situations where experience of the rider servives him from being a part of the accident

Ashik, Shardul, Maitray all have valid points here, but the issue that I currently see is none of the current crop is a tourer by nature they might be highly motivated and have a lot of passion and spirit for biking but past experience or lack of it might just restrict them, in the last G2G I suggested setting up a committee that concentrate only on ride planning. I have maintained previously also that its not always needed that admins be present in each and every ride just that someone needs to take the lead and make sure everyone gets back home safe and sound.

One more thing i would like to share here is after posting my last post about the experience of riding helps the rider to survive has happened with me exactly after few hours after posting the last post i mean i have been survived from the seviour crash last night when i was riding back from pune to mumbai but the experience of riding and the video of keith code that ashik has provided me has helped me to get out of the situation where i was about to crash. So i think the rides are more important than the g2gs.

Really glad to hear you managed to avoid a crash. Experience has to be gained, there is no shortcut for it nor is there any alternative
