Just my thoughts.
Day 1 : Chennai to Masinagudi - night stay
Day 2 : Visit places nearby(suggestions please) - night stay
Day 3: Mysore-few places(suggestions please) - night stay
Day 4: Return to Chennai

Day 3: Masinagudi-Gudalur-Sulthan Bathery-Gundlupet-Bandipur-Masinagudi
Day 4 : Masinagudi-Chennai
A lot many places can be covered than the earlier route.
NOTE: Sorry I might have lost following the thread for some time now.Kindly ignore this post if there are any specific plans for Mysore

20th September - Dinner + Night stay
21st September - Breakfast + Dinner_ Night stay
Best rate offered Rs. 1000/per head for 24 hours.
Dorm and dining hall is a walkable distance inside the campus.
Parking no problem.
