if you use the wrong rating, synthetic oil will only harm the engine.after 2k i am going to change to 10w40 motul synthetic and see how that performs. if it feels good i will stick to that. not many r15 users are sure whether to use 10w40 or 15w50. i took a risk. no problems so far. but i wont stay with 15w50 for long. i should check out 10w40 also before finalising the deal.

Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut that connects the handle bars to the seat.

He is a bike mechanic, and he seems to have a lot of knowledge and experience. I was shocked to hear a local mech explain to a RD350 owner about piston area and stuff.... He also told me about my battery having sulfation. These technical terms impressed me. So im directing you to him. I personaly do not know his electrical skills. You may have probably gone to him before.

His shop is at: Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology - Google Maps

On the down slope, ~15m from the Vazhudakad - Poojapura Road, to the right when going south.

                    • @Ayson.. thank you for the reference. Will check it out
@jayamohan chetta... no, I'm yet to check out that place also. On monday I tried to go that way, but due to traffic block (it was evening) I abandoned and went different way. Will check that place out in a day or two...
My concern is that by doing this I'll be voiding any warranty the company provides... so when doing it has to be done properly by person with expertise....

                      • I checked out the shop at Jagathy...the mech there said he gets the winding done at a shop at 'Manacad toll jn'. Anyone know that place? I've asked a friend who is from Manacad. There were two identical RD350 at his shop, both red in color... Felt self conscious, so stopped staring at them..

Also checked out the shop at Bakery Jn... that guy directed me to a shop near Vanrose jn... could not locate it.. Need to check that out too...
