hi guys i am back to the thread after a break.....getting settled here at calicut... got my baby serviced today(4th free service)....changed the oil to valvoline synthetic blend champ4t 20w40....can see an independence day ride boiling....if it is somewhere in cochin i can join....hope everyone is doing fine..

Cochin guys have come with a Independence day ride to Idukki, Vagamon etc. Check that thread...

BTW... I happened to meet a senior member of xhbp from tvm today... If i recollect correctly, his name is Gireesh, currently in madurai... He owns an Aquila and an RTR160... Forgot his id though...

Do they start functioning properly??? AFAIK that was is the worst Bajaj service centre in the whole of TVM. that Fat mechanic over there (i think he is the head mech) either doesnt know a thing or is very lazy to do things. when you give the bike for service there in addition to the old problem you end up with some newer ones as well.
when i gave my bike for 1st servicing there i found out that the indicators were not working after the service. i asked the mech to check he said saar i think the bulb has fused how come 3 indicator bulb fuse at the same time.i asked him to replace it. his answer was saar iam very busy now bring it tomorrow i will do it . i went to the nearby workshop and replaced the 3 bulbs.
the second incidence was when i asked my friend to give my bike to PBK for servicing. that bugger didnt want to go to karamana so gave it @ ayurveda coll jn. Man after the service everytime i accelerate beyond 7k rpm the bike dies down.went to the mech and told him. he says its normal saar, the bikes engine cuts off at 7k rpm. (actually he was talking about the rev limiter which kicks in at around 9.5- 10k rpm ) i asked him then why is it that bajaj claims max power at 8k rpm when the engine shuts off at 7k.to this he replied i will check, keep the bike for 2 days.i gave him the choicest abuse to the shock of everyone ,later the showroom people called up the service engineer at karamana and he asked me to comedown there and said he will personally look into it. took it there ,the culprit was a choked fuel filter and the bugger at ayurveda centre had put RG4hcc plug on both sides instead of one RG4HCC and one RG6HCC.fearing that i would creat a ruckus they changed the plug and the fuel filter for free.

sorry this was not to creat panic among you guys but just wanted to share old memories of that service centre.everytime i hear about that service centre i cannot stop myself from laughing. Actually while taking the delivery i asked the same mech about painting the wheel he said he can get it done from outside for 400 bucks .everytime i go there he ask me about the painting thing but i would refuse every single time. i think that's why he was deliberately doing this to my bike

BTW I was in TVM from 2000 to early 2008. now Iam in jaipur.During my days in TVM the Xbhpians were not this active but hope to catch up with you people when i return ride safe .will try to be regular on this thread.nice work done by you guys keep it up!!!

Hi Vivek bro, What you said is perfectly right That Fat guy is named Mr.Murgan. This chief mechanic is now servicing Ninja 250 Basically they are illiterate mechanics, so knowledge about fuel injection is very less. But I am doing these jobs with a new boy named Shivan who is now trained from Bajaj Pune. And I always consulted with Bajaj kerala service head Mr. cijin who is at Bajaj office Eranakulam. He is a mechanical engineer with MBA and one of my best friend. The dealer staff is always on the tiresome work load of ordinary commuter models and still scarcity of trained mechanic for high end bikes. salary from the dealer side is also not satisfactory. Bajaj always spoiling their brand name with such service issues. Now the co% checking machine is also damaged in the last month onwards in all service locations in Trivandrum Anyway my bike is fine now but waiting for co% and they assured tmrw the co%machine will be going to repair by Bangalore bajaj team. Hope I will be get my machine back on wednesday. Bye the way where are you from Trivandrum and what are you doing? now Trivandrum xBhp grown around 30 to 35 members. and welcome you again here Bro Do often get in touch with this thread.

Glad to hear that... I'll also get my ride ready by this week. Regular service tomm, getting chain n sprocket tomm or day after. If Anton SVC is ready to take up the work, will give to them for changing chain and fixing the cone set problem.. else will take to Joseph...

I just came back from my LEH trip..everything went fine as planned until i hit Srinagar Jammu road. A wild bull came running on the road and i hit it bang straight. The headlight mounting of my Dazzler is totally gone . The leg guard is bent and has touched the side cowling. I didnt recieve much injuries though. I managed to reach Jammu and have booked the bike as parcel. It will be coming here on thursday evening. Anybody has any idea what to do with the bent leg guard? My bike will also need paint touch ups at a few places. Nybody knows any guy in Trivandrum who does it well?

hey bro... congrats on your Leh ride.. and its unfortunate you had the wild accident... . Now, when it comes to the engine guard, I'd suggest you get it replaced. You know, once metal pipes gent bend and then straightened, they dont offer the same level of strength... and this is one crucial part which saves us a lot of worry.. In my two crashes on my RTR, the crash guard prevented lots of damage to the body of the bike and me...

what lijok i already introduced myself on this very thread..neways i am Saurabh i have been working in VSSC since sep09 and i am stayi9ng near Vellayambalam. I ride a Sword silver Dazzler..well my bike and its reg number i think u will better remember by the pics here. Though i went alone on this endeavour the experience right from loading the bike on the train from Kochuveli was awesome..dont have words to express my feelings guys. Check the pics.
