things that could be made part of the road awareness program:
1.seminar on use and availability of quality riding gears apart from helmets(give people the contact info of auto queen and such stores that sell safety gear)
2.arrange a Q&A session(for public) with any reputed bike mechanic,where people can ask doubts regarding service issues and stuff.(most mechanics wont be rejecting an offer to do such a session as he is indirectly getting popularity)
3.helmet awareness seminar.
4.a seminar on the bikes that are going to get launched in 2011.if possible someone from honda show room can be invited to do a small presentation on the soon to be launched CBR 250. youth will find it interesting.
5.seminar on group riding etiquettes.

6. a power point presentation on the group rides conducted by tvm xbhp during the past 1 year including as much photos as possible.this could be used as a platform to encourage group riding among motorists.
7.if the programme is conducted at a place where there is sufficient space, various competitions can be organised , to pull in the crowd.for example ,a slalom competition can be organised. the guy who does the course in the least time can be given a small cash award.

nicseriously we can consider starting this club in trivandrum too.

i m also looking at something more than this like encouraging lane discipline, need of riding gears for bikers and changing the attitude of people towards riders wearing jacket, etc

More than starting the club here, why can't we invite somebody from that club for our pgm? Also, make it an official lauch of the club at Tvm?

@Varun, please ask sudeep to design a sample pamphlet containing good caption. We can also use placards about Road safety slogans during our city ride before the programme. I just talked to Mr.Rakesh kumar.Traffic Circle inspector_south Trivandrum and he showed so much interest in our programme. He just wish to see our pamphlet and the details of programme.So that he can give green signal at the moment.

he is .. His date of joining is same as the day akhil got banned and the bike he is having is R15 . The probability of another R15 owner from trivandrum pitching in the same day with an unusual name = 0 .
