Going kodikanal tmrw early morning with family. Last I had visted there 10years back...So a little confusion about the route and all. 3days programme and will reach back sunday evening.

@Lijo: if possible please send me the details of places names which I have to pass through...I think it is not necessary to enter in Madurai city. please mention the places after Thirunelveli to kodai, which I am not familiar On the return ride I wish to visit Madurai meenakshi temple,Palace of Thirumala naikkan etc.....please get me some idea.

@A.J - dont worry, its easy. Keep to the NH7, do not take diversion to Madurai. After Madurai exit, keep an eye on the left side.. some 30km later there is a sign board showing direction to Kodai. It is after Pallapatti. Take that road and from there it is easy, around 25km later you have to take a right. There are sign boards all the way... Drive safe and enjoy...

BTW.. I'm also going on a drive tomorrow. To Nelliyampathy with friends...

chetta where is jain temple??

Take a left from after marthandam junction and after some kms(don't remember exactly how much) you will have to take a left again then keep riding and after crossing a bridge the immediate left will lead you to a temple and the way behind the temple leads to the start of ascend to the hills

@ fayad: it takes roughly one hour one side without much traffic
