  • Guys.. I am from Pune and would have loved to attend this meet. But I could only settle for the 26-29 Jan dates as I wold be able to arrange for leaves that way. If there are any changes to this plan would keep lookin up. Else, may be next time.

      • Sorry for the delayed response yet again guys!

Extremely hardpressed for time these days, have been ultra busy these past few days.

Ride is still ON for 28/29/30!

Need to hunt for places for stay. If anyone has any leads on that, lets discuss it. I've not had the time to devote to this yet.

        • Praful,

          Hope this helps.

It was suggested by an acquaintance, who had been there.. Don't know how good it actually is.

          • I had been to Padma and a couple of other guest houses in Hampi. Its a nice cozy way to see and experience hampi. But a hassle for bigger bike groups as you'd need to navigate through the narrow streets (two wheeler only). Its fun for me as long as you dont get lost

Try the rooftop restaurants in these places. Also authentic local lunches in the smaller house stalls.

Alternatively you can try staying on the northern side of the river (see map hampi map - Google Maps ). There are coracles which can take your bikes across too

The across the river option seems good!!!

A very good and safe biker not only because he can pop up either of the wheels, scrape his knees on a corner or go fast and make it look stylish but because he very well knows his limits and capabilities and has the patience to learn about others and ride safe ! :)
