i am new to xbhp and i missed all the g2g till now
but i surely want to join the ride this time without fail
i have done many one day trips from bangalore
i can help you with karnataka places

bangalore to hogenakkal falls is a pleasure to ride in bikes
its about 153 kms ,the road is traffic free and it s really good
i had been there once from bangalore(one day trip).
even tamil nadu riders can join,as it is in the karnataka tamil nadu border.
just a suggestion.

Hey Praj,This would not be a single day ride. Accommodation for 60-70 people is almost like non existent in the area.


Hey Nithin, the closest spot in KA, which would be nearer for people riding from both the states is around the foothills of Nilgiris(read Bandipur or Gundlupet). It is not possible to get a decent enough accommodation for such big a group in those places. the nearest location for accommodation is Mysore, which is like claustrophobic to have a meet. Moreover if the ride dates fall around Dasara , its almost impossible to get accommodation even for a group of 4-5 pax. Either ways guys riding from one state will be riding a longer distance, each time.

Its not a psychology , its a fact yeah even I was thinking of the same. I am not sure if People in TN and KL get leaves around Dasara , because 3rd week of Oct is filled with offs in Karnataka. 2 days of leave applied means 8 days of holidays for most folks

Another option is Sept29-Oct 2, 1 day leave applied means one would have 4 days in hand for many. Though this is early, but can be given a thought.

So the options that we have is
1.Sept29 - Oct2nd
2.Nov2 - Nov4th
3.October 3rd week .

Lets see what others have to say the poll can be up in a day or two for this

45 days from now should be good. Initial 15 days for the organizers to find the accomodation, to collect the money and list of riders and next 30 for the riders to prepare & save their fuels for the ride.

Edit : Organizers Please consider any feasible destination, which is not more than 600 KMs for any of the participating groups. The moving average comes down to 40 if the group is large and more than 12 hrs of riding is exhaustive..
