      The Ranebennur - Shimoga stretch has definitely been in shambles for a very long time. I would recommend you to continue on till Harihar-bypass(can be easily missed because of a flyover constructed) and turn right onto the Harihar-Malebennur-Honnali-Shimoga. This is a very average road with lots of greenery around. After Tarikere, you need to take a diversion on the right again as in your map. Believe me, you wouldn't regret riding this part.

        Will the Pre-ride meet be organised in all of the major locations or just in b'lore??
        The limiter kicks in @11,500 rpm just within a second after the first shift..And, that's where the fun begins !! ;)

          Pre rides will be organised for all major locations. even if there is nobody around in your locality, you can tag along with the group riding closest to your location.

              Thanks for the insight. Yes 750 is nothing on NH4. Last time many Punekars shown interest however at the end it was just me and my bike.
              And as you knows solo is a very nice idea. (I loved the return ride to Pune after 2011 at Munnar) If It sounds too boring I will join my old team at Cochin.

                After you cross the Tungabhadra bridge, make sure you take the correct road at the junction, its a little confusing if you are not using the GPS/asking people around(Chilur-Holalur Rd.)

                              Closely following this thread. Will try my level best to join this time round.

                              Cochin - Mysore the roads are in pretty decent condition. Not sure about the road condition after that.

                                Below is the pic of the road from B'lore-Hassan which i did couple of months back.



                                Here are the rest of the pics of the chikkamangalore and its surrounding places. although i did in summer , now the entire place will be filled with green plantation/forests and animals, not to forget lot of mist/clouds and rains.
